Why was Mugabe in prison?

Strawman? You're that dude but it's painfully obvious Mugabe is poison for Zimbabwe. Anything he did prior to independence is irrelevant when he loots billions from Zimbabwean people and orders the killing of 100,000 (BLACK) Zimbabweans.

I just like to have the facts. We dont have to demean or get mean with one another to point out when friends are misinformed. I dont mind being wrong, friend.

Why was Mugabe in prison?

This isn't really a good argument, since Mandela was also in prison and you think he was ultimately a negative influence on the country, right, friend? Let's also not forget that most of Mugabe's political opponents- the ones whose supporters he mass-murdered and intimidated- were also in prison when Zimbabwe was white-ruled. Being in prison in colonial times is no indication of what people did after independence.

Interesting fact about Mugabe, friend. The queen of england once knighted him and referred to him as *a black man in white skin* I guess thats a compliment. :ld:

I see, friend but Mandela was also a cold blooded murderer as well. Hmmm this situation makes me feel like perhaps Generals and Soldiers should know their place in the machine. Perhaps generals and people of that nature are not meant to be the leaders of nations in modern times but more the arm of a larger body. There is obviously a time for the general to rule (war) but once thats over and the process of rebuilding begins perhaps its time to let that take a back seat for someone whos a better image for the nation but still has his people in mind.

There wont be any civil wars in Zimbab against this man though because how do you fight the man who basically has been going hard for your rights of self determination for decades. Once this man perishes hopefully they have a strong and more level headed leader. The mind of a general is a lot different in ruling than the mind of a civilian turned leader.

Definitely better than they're doing, but still not great. Even without sanctions, Mugabe would still be a greedy despot who was more interested in hoarding wealth for himself than in the welfare of his people, and he would still have damaged the economy with his ridiculous policies, the war in the DRC, etc. Mugabe wants to blame sanctions for all the economic problems, but he's a dishonest demon, friend. Make no mistake. Furthermore, while I obviously think the sanctions are wrong, there's no hope of having the sanctions lifted as long as he does things like rig elections and use murder and intimidation to maintain his position.

Mugabe damaged the economy by defeating colonialists and redistributing wealth to his people? In that case, Americans damaged their economy by defeating slave owners and destroying the South's properous, inhumane and slave-driven economy. This example exposes the absurdity of your assertions. The EU and Bush only sanctioned Zimbabwe after he had expelled the cacs. If corruption and greed were such problems, why did the EU and Bush wait until the exact moment after their cac brethren were punished to do something about Mugabe? Occam's Razor indicates that they reacted in the face of thinly veiled racialism and hypocrisy, which themselves have nothing to do with allegations of vote rigging or intimidation. While the cacs were allowed to plunder Zimbabwe, Bush and the EU left Mugabe alone. When the cacs were punished, only then the cacs lowered the anvil. Reconcile this discrepancy or concede.

Two wrongs don't make a right. China is colonizing Zimbabwe as we speak.

And what is the percentage of Chinese in Zimbabwe? They aren't "colonizing" anything; they are doing business. Also, your "two wrongs don't make a right" assertion is naive and stupid. The following thought experiment exposes how juveile and wrongheaded your points are: when an opposing country attacks and kills a leader's people, if he took your advice and didn't response on account of "two wrongs don't make a wrong" logic, his people and country would perish. In fact, if America applied the same logic with the Cold War arms race, the USA would have lost that conflict and we'd all be dead or speaking Russia. In the real world, your naive concept of "two wrongs don't make a right" ends with death, slavery, torture and destruction. In real politik, the smart country does whatever is best for its own interest. Countries who fail to follow this rule tend to become the victim of it.

Don't be gullible.

This applies to you more than anyone. Gullibility like your "two wrongs don't make a right" equivocation translates to waiting for an alligator to eat you last - rather than devising a way to kill him and ensure he never consumes anyone ever again.

And what is the percentage of whites in South Africa? Or whites in fukking colonial Rhodesia for that matter? Are you seriously that stupid? What does that have to do with anything? You're a slow one, aren't you.

They aren't "colonizing" anything; they are doing business
.

Mere "business" does not typically include scrapping the Zim dollar and adopting the Chinese yuan, granting Chinese workers immunity to prosecution or arrest (in spite of their numerous human rights violations and assaults), or setting up military bases in diamond fields of foreign countries (China is setting up high tech military bases in the Marange diamond fields according to insiders). Unless you're a dim, obtuse, incredibly stupid person (which you obviously are) that should be pretty damn obvious.

Also, your "two wrongs don't make a right" assertion is naive and stupid. It applies to you because you take despot politicians' words at face value, reduce complex, multifaceted issues to a binary opposition and spew platitudes instead of arguing relevant points pertaining to Zimbabwe-China relations. There's no substance/relevance in that ostentatious piece of crap you wrote.

Be a clueless American outsider and talk down to a Zimbabwean about Zimbabwean issues like you know anything, brehs :mjlol: :laff:. You have literally no insight into this topic, and posted a paragraph saying absolutely nothing about Zimbabwe's relationship with China (no, not even tangentially). I have actual correspondence with Zimbabwean residents, and speak to Zimbabwean people who experience this in real time literally every week :mindblown:. The message is consistently the same: China is taking over Zimbabwe.

I'm done talking to you from here on out since your opinion on this topic is demonstrably completely worthless. I don't care if you respond really (you're most likely going on ignore), I have nothing more to discuss with you since you clearly lack experience and substantive knowledge in this area. Your response to The Real especially highlights your dearth of knowledge and immaturity. I can't take you seriously. "Redistributing wealth to his people" Jesus Christ :mjlol: :heh: .
