The Story of the Real 50 Cent was made after rapper 50 Cent blew up. In '99-'00 who the hell knew who he was when rapper 50 Cent came on the scene? Very few people.

Again I ask you is every gangsta in america life chronicled online? Does your city not have major dealers than this forum has never heard of? Why do you assume he needs to be shouted out to exist?

I could care less if some random nikka called Rockafella existed and died of AIDs. That's not the point. The point is a bunch of you robots are running around spouting out a line and acting as if it's fact but can't give me a single fact about dude that didn't come out of Nas' mouth. Buncha nikkas tryna act like they're in the know but can't prove shyt. There's multiple nikkas in this very thread on some "I thought everybody knew this :mindblown:" shyt when they don't personally know anything more than anyone else that's heard the song. You cats can run around calling everyone jigga warriors to deflect it you want but the only ones using logic seem to be the cats that aren't taking a random line in a diss song and running with it as fact without proof.

And who cares when the story of the real 50 was made?:dahell: point is 50 acknowledged the inspiration for his name and prominent people in hiphop talked about the dude. According to some of y'all Jay is paying homage to a legendary BK gangster but never talks about the nikka? What kind of homage is completely shunning the very existence of someone?

Yet I'm the one with the agenda when I'm asking simple questions instead of a bunch of maybe's, might's, etc.

^^^^Upset camel stan

Negative. When Life is Good dropped, I praised it and said Nas is my current best ever over Jay off the strength of that album. Don't make me link that post and further crush buildings  Unlike true stans like yourself, I just call shyt like it is. But clearly you can't refute a word in my post so you run with the default Nasir Stan tactic and claim I'm upset over a message board thread. Do you tho, breh :mjpls: Lemme guess, doe, you'll ignore what I said and say "Ether still burning these jigga warriors after so long :blessed:" or post a witty "Didn't Read" gif :lolbron:

the nikkas nickname was rocafella..there wasn't any confusion

yall can believe what yall want but we are talking about the law of averages here. what are the chances that Nas puts this line in a song that will be heavily scrutinized for being factual (as most battle raps aim to be) and he is so dumb that he didnt know if a member of one of the most famous families died from AIDS or not? :ehh:

they had google and shyt when the song was out and if Columbia forced him to edit it 3 times, why the fukk didnt none of them pick up on that? :why: Are they that idiotic? :what: think of as many times as rappers have gotten sued for misinterpretation and usage of someone's name. there was some shyt about that on XXL today. thats slander.

on top of all of that, what are the chances that Jaz verifies existance of a Marcy hustler who bears the same nickname by paying homage in a song?

man, I heard about this at least 4 years ago, and I didnt read it on :hamster: either. you just dont make this stuff up. Jaz probably knows best.

if this dude was the man in their hood AND he called himself Rockefeller styling himself after the real dude because he was gettin money....why wouldnt Jay (knowing the origin of the name) not know this? even if he denies it, too much of a coincidence. I got dead homiez and cousins, hood legends, etc that no one would know about unless u from my hood. I got a homie nicknamed Boone (after Daniel Boone) but if I spit a verse and shout out Daniel Boone.....u get where I am going.

this Ether line has actually been a debate for years and every time I have heard it, the Marcy dude is referenced. I dont know if the dude really died of AIDS or if he even existed at all...but that would be insider info. something that only Jaz and them would know.

The line comes from one of Jaz-O's rappers not Nas. Before that everybody said Nas mispoke. Some said it was a dude named Rocafella, but no one had any proof until somebody listened to Jaz-O compilaion and heard ol buddy's name. '

50 Cent talked about it AFTER he was famous and exposed by people like Sticky Fingaz & Irv Gotti.

think about it this way
if nas had mentioned dehaven's name in ether
no one besides jay, jaz and those involved would know what he was talking about because it took jay-z 7 albums and 7 years to mention dehaven's name in a song and they were BEST FRIENDS.

same goes for klein. just because jay doesn't mention a nikka in a song doesnt mean the person doesnt exist:mindblown:. I'm sure there were PLENTY OF other gangstas and shyt that jay looked up to or Even worked with, that we will never know about. it's just quite frankly none of our business:heh: "ill never metnion your name, i promise respect"

yall caught up in this internet age where you think every thing that ever happened in da world can be found on google. its not just the case.

we talkin about a nikka who took like 7 years to acknowledge that he's dating beyonce, even though the whole entire world knew. jay's a private guy. it is what it is.

the line in ether is NO coincidence

So you sayin if someone asked Dame Dash (who hates Jay-Z) where the name came from he would say "some brooklyn nikka" :stopitslime:

:dahell: You're talking about how long it took him to acknowledge people when the point is he acknowledged them. Nobody said if Jay doesn't mention him he doesn't exist. Logical people people are saying just because Nas mentioned someone on a song that doesn't mean it's true. Same concept. nikkas really in here trying to say it makes more sense to blindly believe what Nas has to say in a diss song than it is to ask for proof of what he has to say :pachaha:
