Hearing this on a nice speaker I definitely appreciate the project more. He really uses mixing to his advantage as far as beat drops and adlibs go. Plus you can hear the expansion of his singing which I think is really dope

I think he needs an outside perspective producer to give him some lane bumpers. But the more I listen the more I love it. It’s that bagging up music, and it definitely feels like a victory lap/reminder of who is the king of the style and who is truly pushing it forward

This and Marcielago do sound a bit like continuations of the RR styles

He’s pushing the bounds of the style he’s on, but I wanna see him step out of the zone he’s been in and get into a different bag

as much as I didn’t like Kaos I really appreciated the trap beats he got over

Man I kinda liked the trap style too. I don’t know why but I’ve been liking that producers like Muggs, Madlib, and Alchemist have all been dipping into the trap bag in the past couple years. It’s cool hearing them do their own spin on the style. I don’t like most trap beats, but I do like some, and it’s fun to hear these old school producers combine their sound with the trap stylings.

I've only listened to it about four a bit times and honestly, I don't know how I feel about it yet.

it didn't pair well while I was trying to listen to it on my trip other week. had it playing in a villa I was staying in and i only ran it to the Keith joint.
yet, I was cleaning out an empty storefront last week and I had it playing and i was the most positive I felt about it so far.

now that its on streaming, I'll take it in on the walk after my jog tomorrow morning with the cold air.

I'd def buy a print of the album artwork (without Roc's name on it) for my apartment if they were selling them.

The 36 Chambers
Album has its highlights but has its few misses too & this is from a Roc fan.

It’s a 3.5/5 type of album for me.

Still very enjoyable LP but a step down from the last but that was going to be very hard to top let alone equal it.

Catch you reclining on your couch, sucker
Bullets flying through your house structure
The fake tit in your wife blouse rupture

:scust::scust::scust::scust:

I'm blowing your cover, you ain't low, you just a frontrunner
If rapping wasn't still fun, I'd be done with it
I'm dumb with it, not dimwitted
We shot it out with nikkas for twenty minutes
They figure we celebrating independence

:picard:

The chain came with the pendent
It was written that one day I'd obtain riches (what else)
Change the business (did it)
It came late but I ain't tripping
I'm dripping
I'm wearing water, this is liquid
I'm rocking lizard
The skin on the kicks is Hillary Clinton
The A McQueens is Queen Elizabeth
The denim was smelling like teen spirit
That means it's cheeba scented
Is he demented?
I'm so nice on the mic it's working against me
It still couldn't prevent me from leaving shells up in Givenchy empty
The white Bentley is Christie Brinkley
I'm in love with the benjis, I'm getting clingy
Maybe I'm being stingy
I went platinum on the Rollie, the APs is trendy
We got the industry in a frenzy
The MP glide through the city like a frisbee
These feel like scenes written by Guy Ritchie
Fired the blicky
The op dropped a bottle of whisky
I was watching through binoculars, shot the p*ssy
I feel like James Bond in Octop*ssy

:mjtf::hubie:

You gotta be dumb nice to make a beat like Wicked Days work :wow:

A Mississippi Cotton Field
1. Im only halfway through with the album. My work commute is half of what it used to be. I didn't know it was on spotify and spent the morning listening to Willie the Kidd's new album on repeat.

2. I forgot about the track list and legit came in to see who was rapping on track three. It's easy to forget how great Q can be, Bronson killed his feature. I'm happy as shyt (I said it in another thread) that Cooks doesn't sound like Cambatta stylewise anymore. HIGHLY anticipating his next verses/releases. I remember it was only me an prolly @Zero (and somebody else) telling folks how Kool Keith was Marci's biggest influence. and here he is.

3. ":birdman: I just bought a unicorn.
:ohhh: oh. It's just a horse with a horn. :francis:"

:laff::laff::laff::laff:

4. "My notebook worth a million, but the ink is separate.
They shot him with his jewelry on, but let him keep his necklace.
I don't blame him. His big homie ain't give him directions.
And if the shepherd is a sucka, then the sheep reflected."

I literally hit the ":ooh: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" in the car.
