The heel turn WAS HOT.

It is unarguable. We were interested. It was well executed.

But he turned heel TO SURRENDER TO THE FINAL BOSS.

The goal was to ruin wrestling...because the final boss said so.

That shyt just had no story afterwards. I loved heel Cena, the wearing the belt correctly. The JOHN CENA entrance...big fan. He actually cut good promos. But without the final boss it was kind of feckless.

He still is part of the company. He has no excuse as to why he just abandoned the shyt.

When final boss rock was peak going into last mania...I legit put him ABOVE AUSTIN as goat.

I can't no more

That shyt is an all time fukk up and really some selfish shyt

I think it’s because outside of the ring Triple H and The Rock don’t see eye to eye.
Young Rock show also kinda showed that dynamic.
But you’re right, it was a huge letdown.
Kinda fukked up The Rock’s legacy.
He just needed to come out at Mania, at minimum.
If he would’ve made the same amount of appearances as Cena, might’ve been an all time story.
I wonder how that Elimination Chamber will age.

Its clear to me that he is sabotaging HHH's influence and TKO's faith in him. Their little pissing contest is clearly making a bad situation worse.

Blame the writers and Cripple H. The Rock dont write shyt. He wanted Cody to turn heel ..they didnt go his direction..so it was sink or swim. Obviously Cena and Cripple H dont know how to pivot. Tough shyt :yeshrug:

The mindset is strange..like Hollywood Rock needed Vince every week? Lol. Shows how limited Cena is and all this GOAT talk is str8 nonsense.

I can see a situation where The Rock and his writer Gewirtz couldn't come to an agreement with Triple H, Prichard, Hayes and that crew and they parted ways :manny:

Can we blame The Rock if that's what happened? Their overall writing/creative has been pretty lackluster
That sounds the most plausible, like they realized this wasn’t going to work and bowed out while they still could

If you remember, Triple H when he said he called Rock to pitch the storyline basically revealed that Rock wasn’t responding to anything he was saying on the phone then said he like it at the very end. That was the telltale sign that he thought it was garbage.

Rock wanted to turn Cody heel, HHH and Cody said no and proposed Cena, Rock said cool. Once they didn't go with his plan for WM he told HHH/Cena/Cody my work here is done and y'all have 6 weeks to cook :manny:

Was he called to re-insert himself once WM ticket sales looked slow and it became obvious the angle was drowning? Possible - but it's not hard to believe nor do I blame him for taking the "I tried, they didn't listen :hubie: " stance and staying away/not dropping his other commitments.

It’s all of them nikkas faults

I get tired of the coli bailing out the rock for some reason and putting everything on triple h

Triple h and creative team are at fault for having such shytty creative work after rock dipped out… there’s no fukking excuse for their laziness.. cena heel run could have been decent or they could have just done what they’ve been doing with him since Summerslam and the final retirement tour would have been looked at highly

The reality is the rock just wanted that one off match with Roman since he had down time and Hollywood wasn’t reaching out to him like that.

The fans wanted Roman vs Cody instead and it was the right choice… and the rock realized this and stepped back… props to him

But Hollywood came knocking back and he didn’t think twice…. It is what it is….. but his ass kept coming back teasing shyt that led to nothing and left sour taste

Everyone is at fault…. I don’t Need 40+ year old nikkas from TSC trying to Julez answers in favor of the Rock lol

It’s fukk triple h for Being a basic as fukk with booking and typical bs…. But I ain’t tryna hear from the Johnson lovers how it’s everyone fault except the rock

No..Roman vs Cody happened at WM 39 and Cripple h had Roman retain. Another needless Roman win. Messed everything up.
Rock never wanted the Cena heel turn..Cripple H did and that's why Rock hasn't been seen since. Why would he? If you dont follow his lead..it usually bombs and it did. Cody still got booed and Cena did generic promos weekly. Lol.

Rock made WM 40 an event...everything since hasn't touched a epic level. At all. Company wide. Lesnar's return hasn't meant shyt. This Cody title reign is garbage.

It joins ranks with the Vince McMahon death angle as ambitious and potentially GOATed storylines that were derailed by real-life BS :francis:
Shame because a Final Boss/Heel Cena team-up at Survivor Series against Cody/Roman would've done numbers :snoop:
