Don’t know if this is true, but if it is….it’s not surprising at all. He doesn’t seem to have any idea what to do with this team. Not necessarily his fault….Morey be damned….but he makes no adjustments in game and really just lets guys do whatever out there.

They fukked him over and doomed him to fail from the start with the trash pieces they got in return for Harden. Even then, it's been always obvious that dude wasn't ready to be a HC yet and was in over his head. The crying press conference last season said it all even when other people on here downplayed it.

He would have already been fired had Harden and Westbrook still been on the roster.

He understands offense, that much is for sure, but he was thrown in at the deep end with this squad as his first head-coaching role, where we're none-the-wiser as to how he can handle all the duties that come with it. Perhaps, he's more suited to just being an assistant, where he can focus primarily on offense and leave everything else up to other coaches.

Hopefully this Houston stunt doesn't negatively impact future prospects. I have no idea whether dude can coach or not because its a shytty situation.

What is going on why wouldn’t they just let him see it through not like they put him a competitive team out there.

i know it’s only so many coaching jobs but don’t do cats dirty like this

They're about to replace him with the young white assistant coach that's right behind him. The dude that almost got the OKC, Will Weaver.

I think they should have John Lucas run the show there with all those kids.

I specifically mention Will Weaver as there's a situation over in Sacramento where Gentry turned more money from Philly to take the Kings job because he obviously suspected that Sacramento was going to fire Walton at some point. Weaver was brought in this past offseason by Houston brass likely with the same reasoning as well.
