I specifically mention Will Weaver as there's a situation over in Sacramento where Gentry turned more money from Philly to take the Kings job because he obviously suspected that Sacramento was going to fire Walton at some point. Weaver was brought in this past offseason by Houston brass likely with the same reasoning as well.

Problem is, that team is nowhere near winning yet. Do you want that to be your first HC job, where you have absolutely no chance to succeed? Lucas is older, they could probably use an elder statesman in charge for a bit.

He finished 2nd in the running for the OKC job, so I'm guessing that he doesn't mind. He's only 37, so time is on his side even if he hypothetically fails in the Houston stint.

Fukk no. They won a couple before he got hurt and the new spacing leaving Theis on the bench had dude cookin. Silas just got away from the double big lineup of Wood/Theis and it opened everything up
