His team sucks and he's not that smart.

It's very well known in business management circles that Lincoln would write angry letters and not mail them out. Just to vent.

Joe would've been wise to follow that strategy
Reps. And this is just great life advice. I’ve prevented damaging a few relationships by writing down what I wanted to say when I was furious, and then telling myself if I still felt that way in a day, to have the conversation.

99% of the time, I realized I would’ve said some crazy shyt or gone too far. Writing it down lets you vent your frustration and allows you to have a more calm discussion with the other person.

That definitely would’ve been smart by Joe

Everybody sold records in 2002/2003. He had one hit song that is synonymous with the sound of that time. But afterwards his career went to shyt.

he had like 2,000 fans that supported his mood muzik shyt.

it was actually Mal who was with him recording escape route in a hot ass studio with no AC in the summer sweating on blogtv for 8+ Hours to record like 2 songs. Mal was running his blogtv for him while he was he in the booth interacting with the fans.

This is correct and doesn’t at all take away from what I have said. There’s current rappers that don’t and won’t even have the success that he did have.

Plot twist: Joe finds out Ian has been stealing from him all along. Gets rid of him and that ass kisser Parks just for good measure. The JBP boys reunite and get back to business. Sign the deal with Spotify that they should’ve signed and live happily ever after
he'll never get rid of parks. He's too valuable. His place, he engineers, helps cut the video, owns the equipment.

I will give him props on that though, he makes sure he's needed

Someone negged me for posting this :heh:
not sure why they negged but you are half right possibly... youtube runs a bigger risk of losing money on your first videos. And they would have to get monetized first as a channel then wait for the upload to get monetized. They were not established on the website so they would lose money on the first venture, and monetization could get yanked at any point, for any reason, via fake dmca claims or whatever. Not to mention people don't want to sit through 400 ads. That video was an hour long.

The more Joe talks the more he tells on himself.

Joe never had any intention of taking another exclusive deal for the podcast because that would mean he would have to split profit with Rory and Mal.

The problem is, he’s trying to pay them with his own money from other deals that he signed. He was going to fuk them either way because their contract was up at the end of the year. Crazy

This is like the third time I've seen someone mention that specific claim. What's the origin of this lol. Joe really out here keeping homeless big booty Dominicans in a house in exchange for sex?

I think it's just a joke about how Joe always dates Hispanic women 20 years younger than him with a history of sex work / reality TV creds

If Joe was overpaying them all along, a lot of you all about to shut the fukk up

He did them a solid if this is in fact true.

They knew how to get fans on their sides and to get sympathy. Everything they did and said during their show was calculated.

It is easy to make Joe out to be the bad guy.
With all due respect, this is not the way to look at it man.

This is actually way less about overpaying or underpaying, and more to do with there being zero openness or transparency regarding the pay structure. If you are supposed to get paid off a percentage of the money that comes in, and you can’t see how much money is coming in, that’s unprofessional at best.

It’s really that simple. Any half-professional leader/boss or whatever would never allow their coworkers/employees/teammates/etc to not even be able to verify that their income was making sense.

It’s not like Rory and Mal were salaried employees or hourly wage workers. The fact that their pay structure was set as a percentage of the podcast’s revenue changes everything about the narrative Joe’s been putting out there. And these guys were willing to give their checks to the other podcast workers to help them out.

It’s really obvious it’s not just about money here, but more about being misled, kept in the dark, disrespected by a friend, and likely stolen from.

They started without Parks so he can be replaced easily. Look at the production value of Rory and Mal’s response. That was top notch without parks being involved. But you’re right Joe would probably never get rid of him. Also parks is happy being a salaried employee and that’s exactly what Joe wants.
