The more Joe talks the more he tells on himself.

Joe never had any intention of taking another exclusive deal for the podcast because that would mean he would have to split profit with Rory and Mal.

The problem is, he’s trying to pay them with his own money from other deals that he signed. He was going to fuk them either way because their contract was up at the end of the year. Crazy

yup. He probably was gonna sign exclusively again whenever he got them on salary so he could dish the money out how he wanted.

Joe admits to being a narcissist so I’m not even trying to armchair diagnose him. But that makes so much sense as to why he would do actions that virtually guarantee he’d get caught looking bad eventually.

Narcissists can’t help themselves.

Also, I’ve noticed a lot of people caping for Joe on this seem like younger cats or people that were new to the podcast during Covid. Anyone that was listening to Joe in the 2000’s or even the 2010’s, or following his music career on any level, knows that he’s a pretty trash human being that wears his toxicity like a badge of honor.

I used to listen to his music when I was in a couple bad relationships, thinking it was therapeutic, and I legitimately became more toxic in my own relationships. Even as a listener I began to feel some of his music was unhealthy.


People like him eventually damage everything they touch.

With all due respect, this is not the way to look at it man.

This is actually way less about overpaying or underpaying, and more to do with there being zero openness or transparency regarding the pay structure. If you are supposed to get paid off a percentage of the money that comes in, and you can’t see how much money is coming in, that’s unprofessional at best.

This situation is akin to your boss flipping out at you everytime you ask for a paper copy of your check stub, and eventually firing you over it because he feels like you have no right to ask for the check stubs when the money is being deposited on time.

it's like asking him for a breakdown of all the expenses, including what your coworkers get paid, how much they pay in utilities etc. and then afterwards asking your boss why does x employee get this. Then afterwards asking for equity without putting up any $.

Budden is a POS but Rory and Mal aren't some patron saints who are being screwed over. They come off as entitled and having no knowledge how real world employment works.

They knew how to get fans on their sides and to get sympathy. Everything they did and said during their show was calculated.

It is easy to make Joe out to be the bad guy.

Some of ya love playing stupid or some shyt. For the umpteenth time, it was part of their contract that they'd be shown the books. They're being paid based of percentage. They shouldn't even have to ask for the shyt, because it was already written in their contracts. Rory even said, "Hey if I'm being overpaid, thank you, but show me the books."

And again, Joe is being painted as the bad guy because he fukking is and he was the one to air them out first. shyt, everything they did was JOE telling them to do it. He's the one who brought up an audit in the first place. Stop being obtuse and listening to man that has a history of self-destructing whenever something decent in his life hits. It's funny, because it seems like Joe is. I used to do this too, in one of the more shyttier points of my life. Whenever a relationship was doing well, I'd leave entirely because I was afraid of committing. If I was getting a promotion at work, I'd take another job out of fear of getting more work or something. Joe has that same problem .Every moment he has a modicum of success, he seems intent on destroying it and all the relationships he made along the way.
