Mal’s logic is flawed af on at least one point he made.

The chemistry of the podcast improved when he joined, true.

But the popularity of the podcast, the audience they pulled in, that was definitely Joe. Joe the rapper. Joe the failed rapper doing fan meetups to play kickball. Joe the failed rapper turned reality star getting sucker punched on camera. Joe the grumpy old man screaming on everyone at Complex and almost getting faded by the migos.

It’s not a coincidence the pod took off when he was burning down Complex.

He created the audience and their chemistry kept people tuning in. No one would have been checking for their chemistry if it wasn’t first for Joe creating interest.

just cause Mal is handling this like a real one doesn’t mean his points are more valid.

imagine going from paid percentage partner to “I’m gonna put y’all on a salary” cause you don’t wanna let me see the right info that I’m entitled to see lol. I’m sure they coulda took joe to court for that shyt but they didn’t want to fukk the relationship up

This is who you place your faith in? we could prolly make a compilation video of all the people who went through trainwrecks dealing with dude and got on camera to break it down because he manipulated the narrative



the ONLY part of this that's actually fukked up imo is that all this was going on as they were sitting up on that pod talking crazy about everyone else's business. i can see why Mal stopped putting any energy into it early, he couldn't fake it as smooth as joe and rory

when he says he overpaying them I’m willing to bet joe is saying they’re making more than any other podcast cohost would, not that they’re being paid more that what the contract warrents

anybody that thinks joe is moving this way and going over and beyond the contract is crazy

Seems to me that if the books are THAT cooked and if Rory and Mal have evidence of crooked accounting then why not sue Joe? If you were supposed to get a Percentage and by LAW you are supposed to have access to make sure you are indeed getting that percentage and your getting janky numbers then there are only so many conversations you gonna have with your “mans” before its time to tell Joe






And Joe could be as mad and have as many temper tantrums as he wants but if them BOOKS is what’s important then them BOOKS getting cracked the fukk open

I still stick to my guns, I've been arguing all day about this shyt and like "Ziggiy" said last page... I just dont see how it came to this, and they "didnt want to audit or sue Joe" because they were friends
I would have sued Joe before he could light a newport. I noticed in these threads it just turns into a celebrity worship thread instead of a common sense discussion. What I want to know is how did they figure out the 400k? was it recent as in the past week or 2? Joe said he got that to them and its taken care of... Is that also true?
I'm exhausted from hearing about this shyt cause it turns into people riding or hating on people involved and none of them matter situation wise.

Seems even more weird that they came back, then left again if they knew they were shorted 400k at the time. All of this shyt could have been avoided completely 3 months ago if they just went to their lawyers and pressed to sue. Seems like alot of public bullshyt for no reason honestly. I always said all 3 are going about the shyt wrong.
What Joe did was nasty but all 3 of them took a heavy L from this. People wanna play sides and blame me for my opinion when all you had to do is have your legal team ready on all sides. You'd have to be wild dumb to just feel like being friends made shyt cool. Thats why it makes no sense when people say Joe is nasty as usual but also say Mal and Rory should have known that of course they should have known that... my lawyers would have had Joe on speed dial. You're just gonna let him run around on pinky promise and shyt? that proves my whole point of having your legal team ready.. they got their legal team ready and got the 400k , its not about morality... its about are you gonna go get your bread or not? They said themselves they were supposed to see the books quarterly and Rory was like "shyt I just want to see them annually fukk it" that's just a terrible way of looking at how you should be paid accordingly. Stay on top of your paper and this never happens in the first place.

Ehhh neither Rory or mal would have made anything close to this money in this period of time without being into business with joe budden.

Some people are real idiot. When he says “it’s not bout the money” it’s a simple concept, the show brings in a ton of money, he signed a contract, he wasn’t asking to be paid any more then what was in the contract, but he wants to be paid what is in the contract so he needs to know the correct info.

it’s so plainly obvious Joe is a crook. I guess folks are just happy a white man is one of the folks getting screwed here. It’s sad to me tho. I only started listening early last year but part of the appeal is that they seemed like they were in it together through thick and thin. I know that stings more than any specific dollar amount for them.
