Generally speaking I find Buddens annoying as fukk, but he's right on this issue. Motherfukkers mad cuz he spoke his honest (and correct) opinion on how Em's album was trash. What, if somebody asks him his opinion he gotta lie and go "Man, y'all trippin, Revival is a classic". People like Royce and Bizarre are partially to blame for Em being out of touch.

Plus Em can joke about Budden killing his kid with Esther and its all gravy, but Em can't handle a little bit of criticism? He is the biggest example of can dish it out but can't take it I can think of. This is evidenced by MGK saying Hailie was hot and Em had him banned from Shade 45 for it. Dude is thin skinned as hell.

he trashed it on everyday struggle.

i think bizarre put it the best, (as uneloquent as it was); that man put you on, your loyalty should have kept your extra comments to yourself.

as fans we all were waiting to trash joe for playing the em side, and when he didnt we were largely :gladbron:, but that loyalty should have over-ridden whatever he wanted to really say because of what em did for him. i dont care how wrong my homies are, in public the most you gonna get outta me is "they might be wrong, i gotta look at the situation again." this nikka went on a full joe budden red in the face rant...then when 50 came at his head, he just brushed it off on some "oh, 50 just promoting a movie." or when they talk about how cold 50's rap career is, he says something like "you cant just look at music..." so, you walk on those eggshells royce was talkin about for a dude you know would make this an issue (at least on social media), but go in on the dude that gave you a deal? either keep it all the way safe or all the way 100, joe.

Joe ain’t Bizzare
He ain’t gotta depend on Em

I feel you're point, but I also feel where their camp is coming from.

Joe could've made those same points without calling the album trash or getting personal by saying Em was using the "black plight" for album sales.

Especially considering that Em tried to save his music career from the toilet and put a lot of bread in his pocket.

I'm not saying Joe should whore his opinions out for dollars, but at the same time, there's a time and place for everything.

I think him calling Em out like that on a national show was in very poor taste, especially considering their relationship.

I'm on record as saying I can't stand Em's music, but I'm also a nikka that respects loyalty and integrity.

Joe has always come off as a bytch ass nikka that happens to make pretty dope hip hop and now makes a very good podcast.

He's an industry nikka, plain and simple.

nikka he signed slaughter house, you making it seem like em seen joe doing bad and lent a helping hand. He signed a group. It was business. Joe had probably the largest fanbase out of slaughterhouse and was fine with or without slaughterhouse. nikkas done changed the narrative on some em saved joe budden type shyt

Nah, I'm saying what it is.

When Em signed Slaughterhouse, Joe was out here trying to get his foot in the battle rap arena as a nikka that's been signed for a decade with a hit record under his belt.

That was unheard of.

Granted, he probably had more internet fans at that time than Royce, Crooked, or Joell, but let's not act like he was on the upswing in his music career either.

Nobody in the music industry was fukking with him at that time, his clout was strictly based off a small, hella dedicated group of fans that he kept fed very well free of charge.

That's a fact that he'd probably tell you himself if he's keeping it a buck.

Bruh this narrative is weird. When I saw slaughterhouse live the song that closed their set was pump it up. Lol he is the biggest member of that group.

He wasn't on the upswing but he cultivated his fanbase and was straight and I dont think he was trying to ditch rap for battle rap either I think he seen the payday and said I'm with it( I think they said he got 200k for that battle with hollow the don)

What I'm saying is Budden is not indebted to eminem for life cause eminem signed him and three other nikkas. nikkas keep saying em put him on he broke bread with him, nikka em is a label owner. You aint gotta have loyalty to a nikka cause he signed you. shyt was business.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
That makes it even worse. The fact that Joe was on a show that encourages debate and controversial topics and opinions and he did his job. Whereas Royce is in the privacy of a studio with Em, where he can be 100% truthful and nobody will see/hear it and he's still walking on eggshells? Wasn't it Just Blaze who said that he gave Em criticism when they were recording together and they haven't worked together since?
there's a way to shyt on someone and a way to give constructive criticism... if someone asks "what do you think of that new lil yachty"

"i didn't really listen to it. it's not my lane of music. i see he's got a movement out here so shout out to him. i see him doing big numbers but i wish he'd spit more lyrics"

vs

"man fukk that weak ass album. nikka mumbling and i can't understand that nonsense.. he just out here doing whatever for the paper... straight trash"

both are truth.. both are saying the same thing.. both are you saying you don't like it... one is nicer put

all royce said was ARTISTS look out for other ARTISTS and don't trash each other in public. if you notice, throughout all genres, that's pretty much a rule.. nobody shyts on others work, no matter if they dropping the same week or not.. even push that to movies, paintings and most artworks.. and most critics ain't pushing hot takes with controversial statements, to keep the fans coming back. combine that with the fact that joe knows em personally, could have called him or got a message to him, or at the least, looked out for him..... yea i understand how royce feels.

imagine you bring some nikka around your super rich friend... this friend puts money in the nikka pocket, puts his money and face behind him, goes to bat for him in his beefs and all that.. knowing that they other mans (50) don't even like you... and years later, that nikka starts trashing your rich friend in public... saying the same artwork that got you a deal, is now trash and he's stealing the culture.... maaaaaaaaaan i'd say a lot worse than royce just did

At what point does loyalty end though? Yeah Em's label gave Slaughterhouse a deal but Budden has basically said he thinks Em fukked their album out by trying to make them make Eminem type records. He mentioned Em having his verse taking off the intro. Also he's made it sound like Em shelved their Just Blaze produced album due to some arguments with Em about the group's direction. So at this point instead of helping the group he could view Em as fukking the group over at which point the loyalty is gone. Plus his jokes about him being removed from the group chats seem like he is definitely at odds with Shady Records.

Joe shouldn't take no issue with Royce's response though. Didn't shyt on him just stated he thought Joe should've handled his criticisms differently so it'll be interesting to hear Joe's response. They're probably about to start recording sometime soon tonight so it'll be with him fresh in his emotions.
publicly the way joe went in on him basically accusing him of being disingenuous about race? thats past loyalty and now questioning morals and respect. its one thing to do that with logic, another to do that with someone that cut you a check and brought you aboard.
