I think alot of people have moved on from Royce...probably because he's had three distinct syles during his career...

First was his style up until Death is Certain...a very technical style focued on multis and word play.

Second was the bar exam royce, which was just a glut of punchlines which was sometimes hot, some times lukewarm.

Now we got the sober royce who seems like a fusion of the two. I think this is the best he's ever rapped.

I'm posting this because this thread needs to go at least 10 pages deep, because this tape is hot.

true. bar exam royce started to turn me off after the 3rd one i guess...he just became cocky "let me just rap about my dikk" royce...and that bled into the Slaughterhouse era even though they def put the battery in his back.
