Only a matter of time before the brand split ends again. First sign was Cena becoming a "free agent" and deciding he wants to be on Raw instead of Smackdown. At least with the second brand split with Smackdown they made it different initially with the Talking Smack but they got rid of it.

It's amazing how from 1999-early 2002 Smackdown was still treated as a top show. Austin, Triple H, The Rock, etc appeared on BOTH shows. shyt before this second brand split Smackdown was basically just a Raw highlight show with a few mid card and upper mid card wrestlers appearing on the show.

Even sunday night heat had occasional main eventers fighting and i.c. or tag team or european title defenses

Still think the original idea of champions being able to go on both shows was the way to go would of been a way to keep challengers fresh

That's how the WWE Title was in 2002. HHH, Hogan, Taker, Rock, and Brock were the only ones able to appear on both shows, which in a way makes the champion and championship more important.

Regardless, SmackDown needs guys like Balor, Rollins, and Sasha. As long as RAW has Strowman, Joe, Reigns, Rousey, and potentially Lashley, they'll be fine.

It’s all about the money Smackdown has been struggling because they keep treating it as the b show and not treating it like Raw and giving it enough surprises and big moment angles.

Outside of AJ winning the belt over Jinder and Owens taking out Vince there hasn’t been enough big shocking moment on Smackdown to keep views coming back for more.

This is all it is. They give ALL the big surprises guest stars top signings to raw. They had a good thing going with talking smack but canceled it for a failed cruiserweight division. It’s like they don’t want smackdown to compete with raw but they expect ticket sales and ratings

Abolish this useless entrance ramp for the non-big 4 events and bring back the In Your House set and name, that way you aren't locked into such shytty names for the other events and change it as you go, and do away with the forced gimmick PPVs.

Smaller stage means more available seats and more profit. Current set is an eyesore, probably eats up electricity, and it doesn't even show the matches anymore, so it is unnecessary. Use some of that new money for pyro.
To be honest outside of the big 4 ppv they could do all the ppvs and smackdown and 205 live in a smaller venue so it atleast feels different. They being greedy.

Hopefully this won't last long, knowing WWE, there's a decent chance that it won't, but they might make an even worse decision. Although, I can't imagine what could be worse.
