This is true, but you know how KG is when it comes to loyalty. Dude is loyal to a fault.
He stayed on that Minnesota team WAY TOO LONG. Thankfully he got out just in time to get at least one ring, but a player like Kevin Garnett having just 1 ring is ridiculous. That rare combination of talent, athleticism, versatility, height, leadership and work ethic should have birthed at least 4 rings in his career.
Hopefully age and the realization that he's on his way out of the league has put priorities in perspective. He was a great Celtic but the reality is that team is not winning another championship as currently constructed and it's; time to rebuild. This is a win win for Garnett and the Celtics to me. A win win win actually because of the Clippers suddenly becoming a real thread in the post season.
You make some fair points. At this point in his career, though, I think KG may be willing to jump ship for a team with a better chance of winning right now. And that, to me, is clearly the Clippers. I would've thought differently, perhaps, if Rondo and Sullinger didn't go down.
Additionally, if he goes to LA he would reconnect with Chauncey Billups. That might be a motivator for him, too.
where did you get this shyt from.
