It definitely has a short term impact that is noticeable. It's also cold af out and people who aren't trying to go out now have extra incentive to a radical measure.clearly the impact is immediate.
Yeah it’ll definitely depend on cost vs reward. Most people don’t want to spend the extra 30 minutes/day (a lot of time through the years) sitting in traffic.Congestion pricing is working so far. My coworker drives from westchester to downtown and usually its an hour 10 minutes and now its 45 minutes. I think most people would trade $9 for less time in traffic.

You dont have to drive to get to ManhattanI’m not from NY but yeah no fukking way. $9 per day is nearly $5k per year, which is $50k gone after 10 years for doing nothing than your average commute.
That city can go fukk itself at that point. How about stop giving corrupt people more money, that’ll free some cash up.

Word. This car centric urban planning was decided by auto industry lobbyists at our detriment. The goal is to empty the streets of cars first, cleans up the air and new businesses can actually cook with an area that's way more walkable
Then, in super dense cities like NYC, they want to replace regular sized cars with smaller EV cars (very similar to the ones the Chinese have been making)
then it's gonna turn into you can ONLY drive those kinds of cars in dense city areas.
People can be mad about it but it's for our own good, we just seen LA get clapped big time by climate change they are not tryna lose a business hub like NYC the same way
You can't have humans continue to create pollution at obscene levels just because they wanna relive older more ignorant times. The ideas have been being developed for ages now the hardest part is figuring out ways to clear out areas so the redesigns can happen and conditioning people to new rules to cut down our waste output
If you're by the GWB, get ready for some asthma in your life.Word. This car centric urban planning was decided by auto industry lobbyists at our detriment.
Too many cars have caused havoc in our quality of life and there are enough examples globally of cities that have drastically improved quality of life for all by deprioritizing cars over cleaner air and prioritizing walkability and cities for people and not cars.
Anybody mad can stay where there at but New York City is taking a step forward from car centric existence
They gone say it's the work from home people causing the issue ......Those businesses gonna suffer, and it's a double edged sword for them.
