Was that him or the owner? Serious question. That 5 mil and the resulting luxury tax penalties wouldn't have impacted his pockets.
They had 3 months to recover from losing their best player unexpectedly and they won 47 games and lost in the first round. This ain't exactly post-Decision CLE. Presti's track record shyts all over pretty much every other FO but GSW and even with that he had his squad in position to beat them just a year ago.
It ain't the offense, it's the pieces. No offense is gonna work if you don't have offensive talent and in today's league that talent has to be able to shoot. Put KD on this team and they are in position to beat the Warriors again.
