i don't think game manager is the right description of russ.. because i think russ is capable of putting a team on his back. but the truth is that we haven't seen it yet. he hasn't had to.. he fell into the perfect position and he took advantage of it.

you can't compare last year's numbers to stats from over a decade ago. compare those numbers to alex smith's last year, another so called game manager.

alex: 3300 yards, 23 tds, 7 ints.

pretty similar.

and wilson didn't win super bowl mvp.. that fast ass linebacker did.

I was thinking the same thing after MNF(*really it's more about how good VICK should have been or how good cam/rgiii should be. It's showing the importance of studying the game and also the fortune of being on a all around good team*)

Vick was just so athletic that he could just fall back on that escapability and big play speed

If vick would have had a more cerebral approach to the game he would be sure fire LEGEND status

Russ is good but he's not in the same league as vick athletically

Russ is showing how to utilize that run option though

It helps that Russ is on a good team/he's well coached

The wilson circle jerk in the media is getting tiring. I've seen them skewer other QBs for doing some of the exact same sh1t they praise him for.

media is always late. but if they finna slobber luck they shouldve done so to russ already. russ is the best out of the new qb of this era. luck is close but he needs to cut down on turnovers

I agree though that vick comparison is unwarranted, since they were pretty different qbs, and its only made out of thin air because both are black. vick was a run-first qb.

it might have, but my opinion is that game managers play to not lose, and Russell Wilson is far from that kind of playstyle.
