Well...they’ve essentially gotten the pick. They have until December to replace her, and we should expect that the spot will be filled way sooner than that. Unless something crazy happens, Trump WILL get a third SC pick. It’s going to happen.

It’s not just about reparations. That’s just a portion of the all of the principles regarding our stance.
What do you mean it's not just about reparations? Reparations IS the vehicle by which this country will come to a collective reckoning.

A couple of simple questions

1. How has the courts(whether SC or local courts) benefitted black people in the past 12 years?

2. Given that Biden is white supremacist(and was mentored by Strom Thurmond), do you honestly expect Biden to select judges that will advocate of our behalf?

1. Look at it from this perspective. Let’s say Democrats have a better candidate next election, if Trump puts someone like Tom Cotton on the Supreme Court, he’s young and healthy enough to be there for the rest of his life. It doesn’t matter who gets elected, the Supreme Court justices are lifetime appointments. Any decent president, or politicians could have republicans taking things to the Supreme Court, and getting struck down. And civilians take things to the Supreme Court, and they can make major changes that negatively affect black people.

On top of that, ALL politicians make decisions that effect black people that have nothing to do with race. And you know the talk of ending affirmative action will get major steam with another conservative judge, especially Tom Cotton, who is against critical race theory, which states that race has an effect on the chances of success. THAT is who may be on the Supreme Court.

2. Joe will most likely choose a person of color. Even if it’s pandering, it’s still a better choice than anyone Trump will pick.

I'll be honest with you. A lot of you are uninformed and need to stop watching the mainstream news and mainstream media. If you dont know her track record then it would be a good idea to look it up before giving her credit.

The problem is a lot of you dont even know what the hell you're talking about and are just following what someone else is doing without even knowing what and why they are doing it and you're repeating what you heard on the news. RIP but yall doing too much

:dead: Mitch already has the pick and game plan

I busted out laughing seeing another link on CNN that Mitch already looking to get another Senate vote on the floor before November 3rd. I had to laugh. I respect his wickedness.

Tell you what, regardless of party denomination or ideology, Mitch McConnell has done his job. Blocked Obama from nominating judges, took a gamble that Trump might win and now he's changed the judiciary in this country for a long time.

Meanwhile idiots on here running around talking about tangibles, a word they never knew until their surrogate father introduced it into their vocabulary. The irony is if reparations come before the supreme court, which way do you think a conservative leaning judiciary would vote? Idiots.

I linked to three cases I could remember where she was one hundred percent supportive of qualified immunity and not even one single childish, goofy GIF from the doomsayers in response.

You don't understand. I get it.

Breh, I cant stand when folks have this sorry ass mentality of "reparation is a pipe dream", "we dont have it in us to build ourselves up", and all this giving up shyt. THAT LINE OF THINKING DOESNT WORK. WAKE UP. Why you think folks are stepping up with it now?

If you're uncomfortable, good. Do something about it instead of being a coward and preaching cowardice. Pushing for reparations doesnt mean we are looking for a handout. You do know that the government was actually giving white Americans grants, handouts and etc to buy homes, to pass down generational wealth and etc while blacks were denied the same thing ensuring that they would remain a poor underclass back in the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and even now right? It explains the wealth gap. Instead of the government fixing these problems, they ended segregation while leaving these measures, restrictions up or taking those programs away when they had it set up the way they wanted. These are facts. Do your research.

Yeah but you do know that racism isnt just only police brutality. What about schools, job discrimination, housing, policy and etc

I have to say this but some of you already not seeing that you already looking at the tree and forgetting about the forest around the tree. As I said earlier, racism does play a role in police brutality but we arent even the majority of police shootings in America. Never were but yeah that issue along with others need to be addressed for black people on a whole. BLM is only being a hindrance by the misinformation of police brutality being the main focus of what racism is for black people. The mainstream media is rolling along with it obviously and folks not even connecting the dots with the way the government is basically involved in and is basically allowing it. Yall looking it at party lines but they all are basically cool with this. You are supposed to be uncomfortable. I'm uncomfortable and have always been.
