No, they didnt feel it, they just know they needed her to become a vampire to convince smoke to turn. That's why at the end when Stack explained how he got mary out when he saw Smoke kill Anna. He knew at that point Smoke wasnt going to become a vamp.
Also a part of them I think still had feelings for Anna and they didnt see becoming a vampire as bad because they were already vampires. Her dyin meant she couldn’t join them in their new “family”.

My issue with Sinners is they play fast and loose with the vampire rules, everyone steals from Salem's lot by Stephen king (1979)

Originally, Bram Stoker had vampire make a familiar (which is not quite a full fledged vampire).

There have been movies even before Salem's lot where a vampire spent the whole movie making a vampire, I saw "love at first bite" (1950) at MLK summer camp, that black and white was remade Into the 1985 Jim Carey movie "once bitten" with a gender swap and a different ending. Sinners also takes from the Original tv show about sire lines but Coogler makes no clarifications about that, Intending for us to get lost in the weeds.
