yeah, controversial as it is, the ghetto Celtic culture was forced on black people during slavery and perpetuated after. If a black person tried to separate from that they were punished and put down. Happened all the way up until recent times.

Alot of our names have scottish origins. What yte DNA many of us have are irish. The scot-irish was became "white" in the mid to late 1800s.....up until then, Blacks and scot-irish lived around each others. Cacs used the scot-irish as a buffer race in interacting with us and natives much like they use Latinos.

All those historical flicks where the field hands, slavery catchers, outdoorsmen, police officers, cowboys in the wild west, mid west settlers were descendents of the scot-irish.

Yeah, but they were not as civilised as the slaves in America were and the slaves were forced to take on their ignorance as their own. This is not mentioned much in history, they like to gloss over it.

yeah I`m not saying they were chattle slaves but just the "first" labor source before the shift/ramping up of the transatlantic slave trade.

My argument is Irish like other Non Blacks opted to assimilating into whiteness or being a buffer vs uniting against the common denominator.
