Mallet seems to be nothing special, it's always funny when these dudes try the "I called it" statements, shyt flops and you never hear about it again.

Texans need to look at someone else though, they got the saddest QB corps in the NFL. Maybe trade a 9th rounder for him.

Pats got punished so hard because they ignored the memo that went out about taping. It was basically something that a lot of teams were doing and the league turned a blind eye to it for years until that memo went out. Goodell as usual went extra hard to make an example out of

"This is exactly how I was told to do it 18 years ago by a Kansas City Chiefs scout. I tried it, but I didn't think it helped us." Johnson also said, "Bill Belichick was wrong because he videotaped signals after a memo was sent out to all of the teams saying not to do it. But what irritates me is hearing some reactions from players and coaches. These players don't know what their coaches are doing. And some of the coaches have selective amnesia because I know for a fact there were various teams doing this. That's why the memo was sent to everybody. That doesn't make [Belichick] right, but a lot of teams are doing this."[26]

I always blamed the commissioner for keeping this vague, burning the tapes and keeping things in house. Had he been Mr. Transparency as he claims to be, no one would still question the taping. So I can care less what Jimmy says...he didn't see the tapes. None of us did other than Jay Glazer.

Always said since Spygate that his time during the Giants when they had our number was especially knowing how Bill always scripted the first 15/20 plays....

while theres certainly some degree of truth to this, its hard to say how much. I mean, how much was Beli taping when he was in the Giants in the 80s ?

re: mallet, Ill say this. grappopopo looks miles better, and he looked like ass in college. mallet is now defacto #3 qb and pats have next to zero leverage when trying to deal him. plus mallets stock dropped big time from last year.

a lot of times players need change of scenery, but a lot of times teams would rather take a risk in draft in 2nd/3rd round than get a retread
