The whole "no SBs" since spygate is the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life. Unless your team is the Ravens, Steelers, Giants, Packers, Seahawks or Steelers...the Patriots have done more than you since "spygate." Unlike, most of those teams, they've found ways to be contender EVERY year. Last, this is the NFL. Teams don't just continuously win SBs in bunches. Every team that has ever had a dynasty in the NFL followed it up with a drought of over a decade if not more.
How long did it take Pittsburgh to win again after the Steel Curtain..
How long has it been since the 49ers and Cowboys have won..
How long did it take the Giants to finally win again...
How long did it took the Ravens almost 15 years to get back...
The Packers and Saints haven't even made an NFC championship game since they last won.....
The Patriots have lose two SBs by a combined 7 points and won the prior 3 by a combined 9....let's be rational.
It's a game manager offense, it's not for a Brett Favre type of quarterback, it's more cerebral, more timing, more accuracy based, Mallet is a big arm bombs away kind of dude, like Culpepper minus the mobility, it's definitely not the right offense for him.

@ "game manager" type of offense. A game manger is rookie Big Ben. THere is nothing "game manager" about the Pats offense. However, one thing you said is correct--Mallet has accuracy issues on intermediate passes. But more so, if you watched him in the preseason, he's still thinking too much. You can tell he has the offense in his head and it's almost like he's thinking out loud about what to do instead of making quick decisions. What makes the Pats offense go is how quickly Brady gets the ball out of his hand.
But no one in the NFL "bombs" the ball all the time. "Dink and dunk" is a fallacy. Drew Brees throws 33% of his passes to RBs out of the back field (or used to...I don't know about last year...didn't watch them as much). No QB is throwing a majority of their passes over 20 yards. It's just that the Pats don't have those 3 or 4 bombs a game because they did not have that personnel. I think they gamble more on that this year.
