My favorite part of this is that it echo exactly what I was talking about in that thread concerning racism from China.

The character portrayed in this is Ethiopian he’s not even African American, the racist idiot just saw a black person and took it from there.

With so much racism to be worried about that actively affects us… searching for some cornball Korean comic strip in an obscure corner of the internet seems like something an internet nikka would think is important.

Its one reason why when people sometime complain about a lack of black characters in other types of media I'm a little relieved. Its like if its not gonna be done right then just leave us out then. Spare me the hidden animosity and heavy handed stereotypes. That's not to say that there haven't black characters in manga/anime before that weren't cool; two that come to mind is the little girl in HxH and that blind black dude in Bleach. Hell you got black people that have a hard time writing black people nowadays. Black men more specifically imo, I've got my own theories on.
I’d appreciate your take on this.

A theory I’ve seen float is the “emasculation” of animated Black Male characters to be this scrawny weakling, high top or dreads with the sides cut archetypes to counter years of unintentionally making them cool

lmaoooooooo yeah.

Could be a reach but dude from Saints Row was glaring

I don't know what it is about cacs and art, when they realize they went wrong somewhere they overcompensate in the opposite direction. It's either Cole from Gears or Miles in Spider-Man, I stand by Lee Everett being one of the best Black characters written by non-black writers but they couldn't resist making him a criminal:snoop:.
