Nah. He has some talent. Not generational like Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson but good enough to be a solid winning QB in this league. He just wasn't surrounded by much talent on the Jets. And he ain't the type of carry a franchise on his shoulders like Allen or Lamar.

It has a high chance to backfire because the bar is so low for him to be a success in this league. But I’ve seen enough of One Read Darnold to know he won’t be doing much...if Carolina is expecting to have win off the back of his arm and not CMC and their D, they got a huge surprise coming

Every QB needs help. The less talented you are, the more help you'll need. Obviously Carolina will need to help out Darnold. But I think you're underrating his talent. He was in a real bad situation with the Jets. I think we'll see more of his talent in Carolina given the superior supporting cast.
