Saric's 6'10" and shooting under 39% (also got picked one spot before Lavine); he drafted MCW five picks before Giannis; KJ and Grant looked decent and like you said, he immediately shipped them off. The Knicks took Willy Hernangomez with a second rounder Hinkie dealt to them and he's a good rotation player.

Hinkie is overrated as fukk and Embiid alone is saving his legacy. :ld:

Edit: We're not gonna act like Covington hasn't gotten booed at home multiple times this season because he's such an awful shooter either. He got hot tonight and hit the GW, but he's shooting under 37% on the season. His shooting has gone down each season. :scust:

Saric will improve, he's a rookie and he'll get better with his shooting.

Giannis went 14th, plenty missed on him, lets not blame Hinkie alone.

Lavine has been overrated as fukk or has no one noticed the Wolves do better without him/win even when he doesn't do well. :mjpls:

He only shipped KG off, Grant was done by Bryan.

My Pops Forever RIP
If they get traded their the vet has no choice. And if that vet gets to play with Embiid and see how good he is I think they'll be ok with the direction of the team
They kinda do. They don't have to sign there, and if you're on a long term deal and got traded there, you probably got dumped there so you might not the veteran the team needs.

You don't get passes because other GMs whiffed too. :mjpls:

I bet Philly would trade Saric for Lavine in a heartbeat if it was offered. :mjpls:

Smallwood: New labor deal could benefit Sixers

"Ironically, the new clauses suddenly give more importance to the tanking strategy of former Sixers president/general manager Sam Hinkie. At the time, Hinkie did not know how the new CBA would shake out and he certainly was running a different endgame, but he has, nevertheless, put the Sixers in a better position to have success with rebuilding in a newly altered NBA.

If this new policy has the desired results, acquiring a transcendent player via free agency will be nearly impossible.

And since teams aren't inclined to trade superstars, the draft becomes even more significant in trying to get one.

Mostly due to Hinkie's deals, the Sixers have seven first-round picks through the 2020 draft, with the majority to still fall in the lottery. The system has adjusted to where drafting the right players and having better ability to retain them will steer the Sixers even more on the right course."

:whoo::wow::wow:
Sadly Dolan would never hire Hinkie:mjcry:

So much bullshyt in this post :dead:

Saric is a rookie, rookies tend to shoot lower percentages especially when a large amount of their shots are 3 pointers, Saric is bad to you but if not for Embiid he'd still be the ROY not Ingram :umad: who's averaging what? 5ppg with 40% shooting also :mjlol:,

Covington's shooting percentages have gone down but he has become a top tier perimeter defender and an all around talent. :win:

He didn't trade Grant (the Colangelos did), He sold high on KJ and MCW while the time was right. (Neither of who have become better since). And stop with the hindsight criticism of passing on Giannis like 15 other GM's didn't as well :camby:

What if he fluked into getting Wiggins/Towns instead, like the Timberwolves did, would he still be trash if his team got the first overall picks that they were going for?

Is he trash at drafting because he didn't get lucky with some 2nd round picks he had which he used as stash picks because they already had plenty of young talent on the team they didn't want to give up?

Is he trash for making MCW, a player that didn't develop the way he wanted, into a guaranteed lottery pick and one that could be a top 5 pick this year and give them a much better PG prospect instead?

How was drafting Noel, literally considered the best prospect in that draft if not for his injury, at #6 dumb when he got that pick from trading oft-injured Jrue Holiday?
Because Noel was always going to be a good shot blocker At best

He doesn't have a glimpse of an offensive game and didn't have one at Kentucky

Saric is 22 and played professionally in Europe for over three years. Ingram's just 19 and starting to hit his stride. :umad:

Everyone gets criticized when a player of Giannis slips that far, especially in that weak ass draft. No one had the guts to take him above the other fringe players. :umad:
