so van gundy needs a 3 point shooters and a rebounder on offense and defenders to funnel players to a shot blocker on defense, am i right?
If this is the case, why can't the inverse work while producing the same results? A team with 3 and D players with a big man that may not block shots. On offense a big that has more talent on offense than a dwight howard and andre drummond.
Can you even win with a big as your focal point if he can't score.
LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love, brooke lopez (too late), nikola vucevic, jonas valenciunas, etc ... surrounded by a playmaking point guard and 3 and d everything else.
I know none of this is likely to happen, it's just a brain exercise. I feel like this team would be better suited for todays nba.
The biggest flaw with my idea is I can't think of a 4 who plays d and shoots 3's.
