I'm not sure if I agree with him 100% but Joe does make some good points in the quotes below.

Exclusive: Samoa Joe Happy to Watch WWE Gut Independent Wrestling

WWE Raiding The Indies & Wrestlers Getting Paid What They Are Worth:

“Hey, you know whose fault it is, that your favorite wrestler got bought out? The company he was working for, cause they were too cheap to pay him what he was worth. So he should get paid what he’s worth, and if WWE comes and pays him what he’s worth, that’s on your sorry ass. Get the money right. And start paying these dudes. There are too many crazy talented dudes out there that aren’t getting paid, and if you have a problem with WWE making those dudes rich, you can kiss my ass, cause those dudes deserve to be rich, cause they’re talented as hell.”

On WWE Stocking Up On Talent:

“It’s funny because people are like, ‘oh, well that’s kind of messed up,’ No. No. That’s how you win,” explained Joe. “That’s why they’re the number one company in the world. You go out there and you get the best dudes. You don’t get mad at a tiger for being a tiger. I wanna remove all doubt, and I’m not an official spokesman for the company, but yeah. Of course! Why wouldn’t you do that? That’s the move to make. Let’s go out and get the best dudes.”

I don't have a problem with guys getting paid, I just hate to see people not get used at all because there's so much talent but still only 7 hours to fill. Between commercials, promos and backstage segments, a lot of guys are just getting paid to catering and watch matches backstage.

What was it that Kevin Nash said? Only two things real in wrestling the money and the miles. I bet a lot of wrestlers guys on here get furious about lack of pushes are content with getting a check.

:yeshrug:The gospel. Majority of these wrestlers nowadays trying to get by and just doing that "professional wrestler" pitch as a hustle to work marks that fall for the shyt. At the end of the day, folks are breaking their necks and ribs just get acknowledge by the E, even though the company itself is a bloated fukking mess, but get that money I guess:ld:

-Easier matches
-more fame
-best medical
-best catering
-not getting stiffed by promoters
-proper rings
-more money
-no booking worries
etc.

Anyone who gets mad at an indy wrestler (despite the fukkin state of WWE) for going there is clearly a dumbass.

From an employee/contractor perspective, this is all on the money. Some people can make money on the indies and be content because to an extent they have more control over their destiny, but some people just want the security that the big company might offer them - one man's music is another man's noise. If they're being paid well, I'm sure they're not that bothered about the booking unless it's some otherworldly bad shyt :russ:

And this is the crux. We project our own feelings about these wrestlers onto the wrestlers themselves, because we want to see more of them on the product. It's a catch 22 for us because it's all whether Vince wants to push them or not, marks be damned. That's why so many wrestlers are poorly booked and Roman Reigns is still main eventing despite almost everyone not giving a fukk about him.

I feel like if they don't walk like Cody or sit like Neville or Punk did then they're cool with their situation. Whether or not Joe said what he said because he truly feels this way or is trying to gain favor he said it. Some of these indie guys do look at the WWE as the big league and a dream job and whatever career they had before as shyt they did to get noticed.

That's why all this hate for Roman is unwarranted, like he's supposed to step aside for the next guy :mjlol: Cena didn't do it, Hogan sure as shyt never did it. Not one person on that roster would that.
