Galaxy S5 now with tizen, yeah I could see it selling it tens of millions
don't even advertise it using Tizen just put the phone out and advertise the features like they do now. i don't recall the S4 or previous models using Android as an advertising point. the point of it is the brand of the Galaxy S is big enough for them to do it and push a new OS on it. what other Android brand has achieved that status?
Kindle makes Amazon decent money. Once people buy into the ecosystem they spend more than the average Amazon customer. Kindle runs Android though. Samsung wants to break away from Android and the Galaxy S brand is probably the biggest Android device and sells like crazy. Many of the average consumers wouldn't know the difference if Samsung can match features on the new OS.
from a usability standpoint
The Galaxy line is the official name for Samsung Android devices. Notice that the Windows Phones that Samsung makes aren't called Galaxy. You'll notice that in other products such as Cameras & Refrigerators from Samsung. Plus you're forgetting That Tizen is also co-developed/managed by Intel, Tizen Association, Technical Steering Group (TSG), & the Linux Foundation, NOT just Samsung. There's NO way it will be called Galaxy. Samsung's Tizen phones will be called something else.
What??!! People gonna notice when the Google Play Store & Google's 1st-party apps are missing & see Dat app store looking more struggle than the Windows 8/RT/Phone 8 app store. Also when it comes down to it Samsung & Intel are hardware companies, not Software companies like Google, Apple, & Microsoft. You already know Tizen is gonna be inferior to Android, iOS, & Windows Phone 8....you are responding to winb breh...
This is a forum of tech heads. You're overestimating the average consumer. I basically work a tech support style position in cable and the average consumer I visit doesn't even understand the concept of an HDMI port on their TV. If you walked in their house and grabbed their TV remote and hit 55 on it and their cable box is on HDMI 1 they're calling the cable company which is gonna roll a truck with a tech to get that TV back to HDMI 1.
Apps make or break platforms, Thats why Windows phones are having a hard time. Tizen will never be sold on a S5 it would be suicide.
I like how condescending you are. you the same person who supported the Playstation 3, the same console Sony used to leverage Blu-Ray into being the success it now is. Its been shown that brand names can be leveraged to push other products.
Bruh, I'm still amazed that he thinks that Samsung would bait & switch Android on the Galaxy S5 with Tizen, even though the entire Galaxy-line of Samsung devices/products are Android devices. Tizen devices/products will be called something else.none of this made sense and none of it connects in any way.
