Ok breh.. what is discussed on the dvd is what is same information in the books. The worldstar generation is less likely to pick up a book, so they get the information from a dvd.. same information just different format. He needs to sell the dvd to make money to create another documentary. If he didn't sell Hidden Colors 1.. then Hidden Colors 2 doesn't get made. Your whole first paragraph is some bullshyt.. you mad because some nikkas bashing gays and claim they don't know shyt.. when i've never seen you post anything of substance but rant and curse. So nikkas don't know Rustin Bayard is and because of that, they don't know shyt?

I don't know any black, accredited scholar who lends this film any credit. I'm talking nikkas who are deep into this shyt. Like black filmmakers who have won awards and who have "staple" black films in the black community. Professors who are known for their ideology on black culture/history,etc. , so therefore, if you have been listening to black history way before why do you not question the fact that none of the people you supposed would be listening to back this nikkas shyt up?
That's my only reasoning here. Just seems like a whole bunch of dudes who grew up in white washed areas, with white washed teachers, finally hearing something from black people so they take any and everything to be truth.
I agree with the premise of the film in that black people have a lot of history that isn't told. All of the overstatements and reaches are unnecessary and take away from the credence of the film, IMO. Makes it more of a "for fun" movie rather than something serious because instead of truth it's playing on emotion. Tariq is a pimp and playing on emotions is what he does well. There's a reason why he doesn't deny that Moctezuma-Mansa Musa thing ever was stated, just corrects himself. Dude raised all that money AND got people to buy it and not one credible/established person was on that DVD. Makes me wonder.
I have respect for his hustle. Dude knows how to exploit people
But I also don't need any dummies IRL trying discuss how Mansa and Moctezuma are the same people when I'm trying to have a factual conversation about black history. Thankfully I don't know anyone who likes this nikka or who wants to see this movie so I never will.

Dr. Phil Valentine was bullshytting EASILY 50% of the time. EASILY. It was so frustrating. Dude would talk about how poppers work (amyl nitrates) then go off the rails about how HIV isn't real and doesn't exist...WHICH IS fukkING FALSE. I haven't seen Hidden Colors 2 yet but i don't see why you're venting. I look at it like this, I'd rather watch something that's 70% factual with 30% of the content being arguable or speculative to say the last vs say watching a damn documentary crediting the advance civilizations of yesterday to space aliens. Like they'd rather not talk about the civilizations having remotely anything to do with being black so they just throw aliens in the mix.
