Between My Homie, The OG version of Hoover Street, Break The Bank, and Know Ya Wrong, I'd say that either Alc gives Q all his top shelf shyt, or Q just picks the best stuff.

Because he has zero duds with Alchemist, and in fact the shyt Alc does with Q is all Grade-A top shelf stuff.

It's a shame too, because Q said that he never wants to do a full album with one producer, but if he absolutely had to, he would do one with Alc.

:mjcry:
When Alc works with people that he has chemistry with it makes for some amazing moments in hip hop real shyt

yea he explained it here too but i still wasnt feeling the bar, he shouldve just said black lives matter it would have made more sense

It would've been a better choice cuz they giving him hell on twitter about it lol.

I see why he did it though, to drive the point that just because you're banging doesn't mean your life doesn't matter.

It doesn't grab me, the way the best tracks of 'Oxymoron', or his earlier work to, it's a more layered, nuanced project....The production is a little difficult for me to get into, and very similar throughout, but there is a lot to like here. I love 'By Any Means', which is near perfect as far as Q songs go....I don't like E40 on 'Dope Dealer', like someone said is it possible I think he's wack and nice at the same time? 'That Part' is new to me, which urgently needs a Kanye free version, as his verse is unlistenable. At times I think Q's bars are slightly dulled on here, less personal in many spots, and lets his voice and delivery carry him, but it's not wack at all....I like 'Tookie Knows' and the Jada track too. 'Str8 Ballin' is good too, though I don't think he captured the essence of Pac's classic the way he could.....

By Any Means' just has that dark, yet kind of hopeful sound to it, a fatalistic hook and lyrics, I also get it's one of less progressive tracks on the album, but it's easily the strongest track to me, for now.
