Tales, Dangerous, and Black Folk were evidently inspired or derivative if thats the right word.
Q had a project he made after Blank Face that he scrapped because it was too similar
He scrapped like 3 albums before making CrasH Talk. For many reasons. Way more than the ticket sales reason. He's in a better headspace now than he was in 2016
Hopefully he finds a healthy balance with his next joint
If he didn't have Overtime on it, it would be a masterpiece with no skips
Overtime is what he forced for radio. I remember him saying I think at a Groovy Tony Pit Stop pre-tour that he was "going back to making hits" after Blank Face
This album was unapologetically street. The last West Coast Gangsta Rap classic imo

This was Q’s best album to me. It may not have the bangers like Oxymoron but it’s consistently at 7-8 out of 10 for most of the album. I only recall skipping 1 or 2 songs.

Tookie Knows make you wanna grab a blue rag for real 
as a writer you just love how they was spitting on this shyt. The deliveries were all fire. The lyrics all fire. The beat. What a story the album is.

You wasn’t listening. It’s like they tried to recreate them moments so yeah it ain’t gonna hit the same. If you not an artist yourself it’s hard to grasp concepts just being a listener.
