:wow:This is the album I wanted from Q when he did Oxymoron
Groovy Tony straight :demonic::shaq:

Ride Out sound like it should be on the Menace II Society soundtrack:bustback:
By Any Means just got that bounce :ohlawd:

John Muir is flames.
Neva Change and Black Thoughts:wow:
Even the weaker track Big Body was a grower, Overtime on the other hand:shaq2:

We might die for this shyt nikka, We might go DOWN for this shyt nikka:pacspit::dj2:

I went to a Black Hippy show (the order was Jay Rock, then Ab Soul, then Q, then Kendrick) right after GKMC dropped and I almost didn't go. I;m glad I did. it was a really dope show. I haven;t seen a lot of "outdoor venue" hip hop shows but this one was great.
Yeah went to the same one in Houston it was a great especially since I bumped GKMC, H&C and Control System heavily at the time.

I flip flop between Oxy and this being my favorite Q album.

I feel like people slept hard on Oxy because it had to follow GKMC but it's so much heat on that album. The songs are great on this album but Q's flow is so smooth and aggressive on this it does take me back. I know he was saying John Muir was influenced by Cube's NWA flow but you can't listen to songs like TorcH or Groovy Tony and not see how much of a better and confident spitter Q has become.

Setbacks started out really strong but got kinda weaker as it went on

Habits is a great album but with a few not so good joints

Oxymoron is a great album with maybe just a few more misses than Habits

Blank face is damn near perfect minus "overtime" (which is still ok but throws the vibe way off) and the sequencing makes literally no sense after "ride out" a lot of people didn't like "whateva u want" and "big body" but I personally love those joints (minus the ending of whateva u want which annoys me a bit)

I'd even rank Gangsta & Soul. Really, Q has had 'it' since like 09

I'm still quoting random lines from this :russ:

Some youngin was talking about some local bullshyt, who doing what rah rah, to my younger cousin, he was talking loud in front of my still active brother, you know how youngins do.

Now im :flabbynsick: I've had my time to do the bullshyt and wouldnt change anything and I fully believe that the youngins should be allowed to do the same. They got a bit of paper and no taste/sense so when the sun comes out they all go buy toys, quads, dirt bikes that type of shyt.

Cool.

But my brv is kinda in the upper limits of that age bracket and expanding his taste interests so he's kinda hard on them sometimes.

Anyway, this kid is chattin rah rah and brv pipes up

"You lil fukks aint hot with all that shyt"

Well that just set me off. In my best Q "yeaH" voice I couldnt help it.

I remixed it but still..

Man, them lilfukks ain't hot
Man, them lilfukks ain't cold
Man, them lilfukks ain't hot
Man, them lilfukks ain't cold

Needless to say the youngin my cousin and brother didnt know what the fukk I was talkling about but was hilarious to me!

Funny to hear Q not really recognizing Setbacks but was decent for a new artist and you can clearly track the trajectory of him improving to Blank Face.

Even Nas didnt have anyone say his 3rd was better than his 1st :jbhmm::patrice: :troll:

I'm happy with HnC, Oxy and of course Blank Face. Thats 3 for 3 in my book without him switching shyt up.

Q!!
