Only SEC teams can say this.

None of this other teams have to run the gauntlet.

The gauntlet?? :heh:

:usure:
09/01/12 vs. Michigan
09/08/12 vs. Western Kentucky
09/15/12 at Arkansas
09/22/12 vs. Florida Atlantic
09/29/12 vs. Ole Miss
10/13/12 at Missouri
10/20/12 at Tennessee
10/27/12 vs. Mississippi State
11/03/12 at LSU
11/10/12 vs. Texas A&M
11/17/12 vs. Western Carolina
11/24/12 vs. Auburn

:lupe:

I dont know how y'all made it through that gauntlet of a schedule with a winning record :whew:

You played 2 tough conference games in the regular season, and Michigan :aicmon:

Oh, I get it now :ohhh: the schedule is a gauntlet because you played 2 tough teams back to back, the rest of the schedule doesnt matter. Thanks for showing me the light. :blessed:

Bruh...just show him a schedule.... im sure you can find one tougher than Bamas...

BUT, BAMA usually has a tough schedule, last year was out of the norm for them.

Im not even a fan of an sec school (even tho i do follow the dawgs to a degree) but to say the sec isnt the best conference is a load of bullshyt. Top to bottom whos a better conference?

Everyone always cries about the sec getting all the love and hype but when given a chance to do something about it in a big game you get ran over @EdMotherfukkingG

So the argument is that the SEC is the best conference but they are not that good :what:

Stoops pointing to bottom the of the SEC doesn't make much sense. Let's see, Auburn and Tenn have each won NC in the past 15 years and you can take shots at Ole Miss but even they had a better recruiting class then the entire Big 12 and seem to have a solid future ahead of them.

The Big 12 as a whole doesn't have much to stand on at the moment and were themselves overrated last year. It is basically made up of Texas and OU(who are both down), an alright WVU school(also treading downwards), and 7 bottom programs who historically are barely at or way below .500 winning percentage all time.

And I won't even get started on the Big 10. No national championships in football or basketball in over a decade speaks for itself.

ACC is the conference historic programs(GT, Pitt, MIA, Cuse, VaTech, BC) go to get :flabbynsick:

And they PAC 12 could be a great league, but they need USC to get back up to their standard, and Wash, Colorado, and Cal need to get off their ass and do something

If you're going to attack the strength of the SEC you would have a better case in saying the rest of the conferences are down, which if you look around there is plenty of evidence to make a solid case. A lot of the top dogs in the other leagues got hit hard in the mid to late 2000s with sanctions and other internal issues that caused them to fall off.

He has to say something. He's calling recruits and they're not giving him the time of day because coaches like Nick Saban are calling as well, then making public statements that make Stoops look like a child.

If Stoops and/or OU somehow ended up in the SEC he would be toting the SEC sign like a members jacket. It's the country club he's not a part of, and he sees the divide finally starting to actually take form.

Is it propaganda? No. The numbers speak for themselves. OU had a chance to quash the streak, they lost. The championships in the trophy rooms don't lie. The COACHES don't lie. Most of them have championship rings at home. These are not fabricated facts, and recruits' eyes get huge when SEC coaches show them the trophy room, or show up to their homes wearing shiny championship rings.

If it wasn't the best conference, then why does the best talent go there every single year? It's the amateur showcase of the football world. If you're serious about football as a career, that's where you go. That's where recruits want to go. That's where coaches want to go. That's where Directors want to be. That's where merchandise sells.

People are coming out of the woodwork on this site to slam the SEC. At this point the lines have been drawn with permanent markers, I know that these opinions are firm, and I know that they're usually cemented in fanhood. That's fine, that's why college football is great.

I'll play the game, because I like cfb coli talk.

Before anyone posts it, yes I know Tennessee sucks. I fear that they will make a new home at not only the bottom of the SEC, but in all of CFB. I have a theory that's far too long to post on a Friday night.

Nah, UT will never get that bad. Y'al just need a good season and you'll be back to where Georgia or South Ca. is

I wish Stoops would keep his mouth shut tho. Sabans response was pretty much ether in it's nicest form. He's not doing OU any favors this off-season.

Our lasting memory from our bowl game was a complete slaughter, then he talks about players dont deserve to be paid and they can miss meas, and now he's saying this stuff. He's not doing our recruiting any favor by looking bad in the media

I felt like this the second Saban went to Bama. The SEC is his until he retires, nobody recruits and develops 18-21 year olds better than him.

Too many big fish in that pond.
