Bruh i can tell you right now that shyt got old quick. It was only a 20 min bike ride to the office and the sun was out 110 degrees and hills. After about 2 or 3 trips i said never again. That bike sits on my patio on flat tires now.

Even buying a “cheap” car, if you can even find one these days that’s reliable and doesn’t require stupid amounts of
maintenance to function isn’t as easy as it used to be.

I don't think a lot of people aren't willing to get a trustworthy mechanic to inspect the cars they buy. Reliable cars from the known reliable brands are not rare.

The whole car reliability thing is just like the smartphone battery life excuse. It's something people use to talk themselves into buying a new product instead of exploring other avenues.

On all my cars I kept detailed maintenance records. Every receipt for work done put in a binder. If someone bought my car from me 2nd hand I'd provide that. I also took them to the dealer for oil changes / tire rotations so they'd show up on the Carfax.
