I used to think self driving cars weren't too far off. Too much risk and negative press if one crashes; which is seemingly infrequent, but it's frequent enough I'm not gonna do that shyt in my lifetime. I might turn it on real quick on the highway way to check something on my phone. But this seems like a dumb and unnecessary way to die, when normal driving works just fine.
Yeah, my car will basically drive itself as long as it can see the lines on the road.
It's mostly useful if I'm using my phone or doing something like tying my shoes on the way to work, or on long road trips. shyt basically drove me to FLawda when I was nodding off coming back from Texas.
shyt is not fool-proof though, and it's bitten off on exits/turn lanes when it wasn't supposed to.
And unlike the Tesla, it'll get mad at you and disengage if you don't have your hand on the wheel enough.
I'm cool on buying a Tesla with the Blue Check though.
