Serious Question for TSC.. Why do you constantly interact with and consume content you obviously don't enjoy consuming?

I don’t like WWE but there are several wrestlers that I like so I like staying abreast of what they are doing even if I don’t want to support the product.

Not really relevant to OP but wrestling fans are funny.
Like, people really want Austin Theory to be a Paul Heyman guy.
The IWC will pick an unpopular wrestler and be like “put the belt on ‘em! :damn: Why is the wrestler coming out to crickets not in the title picture!?!”
He's talking about you @Silkk

my boy is one of them real hip hop only listens to little brother types and he was in the groupchat trying to critique Playboi Carti album. Going song to song. I'm like my nikka... you KNEW there was no chance you'd like that shyt, you admittedly and proudly hate this type of music. why are you even listening to it?

:russ:

I'm starting to think a lot of people just wanna have something to say. it's like a self-importance ego thing where people just need to add their 2 cents to the point where they're willing to hate-watch stuff they dislike for the sole purpose of getting an opinion out
People think their opinions matter and they think they their opinions are so valid that they must be heard by everyone.

My thing is this. You can’t be objective of something you don’t like. If you don’t rock with WWE but you just want to keep up with what’s going on or a few of the talent then you should do that without giving your opinion. It’s not objective and you are going to be met with disagreement left and right. Unless you are looking for a fight why would you do that?

This isn’t wrestling fans this is everyone online, we are in this culture where we feel like we have to have a comment or a thought about everything. It’s been silly but you can’t tell people that

They will be like “HHH” is holding him back, once would never do this. Like maybe people just don’t care for him and he is in the position he belongs in.

YAll know what it is with the marsupial, come back for the fukkery, read the news, check the clips but you won't see my furry black ass in any of the official threads.

I have standards and NWG across the belly :wow:
Legitimate question to you and those that don’t like WWE. What’s the problem? Did you ever like WWE? Doug you not see all the improvement made after they kicked Vince out or did you like Vince?
It’s not as must see as the attitude era was but at this point it is what it is Who’s wrestling company is that entertaining?

I don’t mean to speak for them But besides Cattle but for the rest it boils down to how they book or lack there of Black Talent & not having them in meaningful roles

so basically you just enjoy being apart of the conversation. I think that's probably the case for a lot of people.

I know people who dislike certain artists but will be the first to listen to a new project they dropped, just so they can discuss how much they dislike the music lol

it's weird as hell to me but I guess I get it
I don't actively hate on it or anything, it's just too much of a time investment for me to actually watch these days so I have no rapport with the modern wrestlers or their storylines. Every once in awhile I ask for worthwhile matches or what people think of such and such

The reason I don’t buy this is because when I apply it to myself, it doesn’t really make sense.

I hate Tyler Perry movies. I think the quality of his movies are complete ass and make black people look bad. Because of that, I don’t watch Tyler Perry movies. It wouldn’t matter who he employed and put in a film. Idris Elba, Kerry Washington.. shyt, God himself could star in the next Madea, you won’t catch me watching it because I’ve accepted that I don’t the product this muhfukka creates.

What sense would it make if I was first in line at all his movies, ready to critique them? Lol at that point it’s like do I really dislike this guys movies or am I in some weird way getting off to disliking this guys movies?

Since 94, I have been an on and off WWE fan, but preferred WCW (thus why I never cared for the fed despite some good moments like WM 30, and etc). Vince for all the shyt he got and how stupid his booking was, I feel like he was booking for everybody, while Trips is booking for his era and the chums up in TKO. I don't feel like I'm the core audience he's trying to reach, especially involving black talent (he is an entire ho for what he did to OmGOATS). One thing Vince is known for is entertaining the masses. Like his main vision was to make compelling stories along with a twang of wrestling.

I was never a Attitude Era head at all, if anything I was more into weirdly the Punk/Bryne era, but fell out of it. Even if I had a choice between AE and Trips booking, I would take a shytty In Your House versus WM41 because I know I would at least be entertained by the fukkery. Here's my gripe about Trips, he's a boring fukking booker. Dude spends his entire lifetime cosplaying the territories, but never seeing the good of those territories. NXT under his wing was a slog and a half looking back at it, compared to Hicklebottom's vision.

Don't even get me started with his self glazing, which is another gripe of mines. Vince played a character most of the time, while Trips playing Paul. Big difference..

At the end of the day, I miss turning off brain cells concerning wrestling. I miss the days of my wife and I being on the edge of our seats trying to see the payoff between Wyatts and Shield.

I miss the time of the TSC being full of fukkery and fun, and not this cold ass Neckbeard shythole of affairs.

To be honest, my wrestling taste died when WCW and ECW died sadly. For years, I spent my entire time trying to find that feeling of youth. But unfortunately, it was never the case. I tried Puro, but its basically the same damn booking as the States. Tried the indies, but they are glorified pipelines for WWE and AEW picking. I tried TNA, but sadly they are basically a part of WWE's umbrella.

So I just settled for the grim reality that I held onto wrestling because of my late grandfather, he got me into that shyt when we watched Bash at the Beach 94. Maybe I just wish for those old times back, the nostalgia without the bullshyt in the backroom. The feeling of seeing Kofi winning the big one. Tez on Twitter saying God is Good. Feuds that feel organic, and a weird wrestling world where it's just us geeks, the freaks in the ring, and the carnies calling the fukkery.

I would give my left tree branch for the feeling of WM30 again. Being around like-minded wrestling fans that didn't tell me to kill myself and make snarks about my family. Just good times, but in 2025, with all this nonsense especially Trump's influence and monopoly being praised, maybe its safe to say that wrestling is not entertaining anymore....

TLDR: More of a WCW head, liked bits and pieces of the WWE, best moments was 2011-2017, Trips wants to be Dusty, but books like Ole, wrestling will never hit like the good ole days. I'm only in here to catch up on the news and fukkery, nothing more or less. I'm tired of Trips booking black talent like taboo, while Vince actually had a spot for them in his timeframe despite the dumb booking...

I don’t necessarily dislike WWE but I stopped watching it. For me, I think the weekly shows just felt too long and not enough was happening to keep me interested. I’d watch an hour and some change and eventually just turn it off. It was like that for about a month before I just decided to not even tune in at all

If shyt got back on track like they were during the bloodline stuff, I wouldn’t be against poppin back in. But yeah for the most part, I was bored as shyt with it

And tbh my interest in wrestling these days kinda live and die with WWE. If I’m tuned in with WWE, I’m watching AEW and random impact episodes too. But if I’m not interested in WWE my interest in wrestling in general kinda vanishes

The funniest recent example of this is that bum Kaun in Gates of Agony. There are a few people on here vocal about this mf joining the Hurt Syndicate. I swear Tony Khan has to have some eyes on thecoli because the Gates of Agony, particularly Kaun, got his ass whipped by the Hurt Syndicate a few weeks ago:laff:
