Serious Question for TSC.. Why do you constantly interact with and consume content you obviously don't enjoy consuming?

Since 94, I have been an on and off WWE fan, but preferred WCW (thus why I never cared for the fed despite some good moments like WM 30, and etc). Vince for all the shyt he got and how stupid his booking was, I feel like he was booking for everybody, while Trips is booking for his era and the chums up in TKO. I don't feel like I'm the core audience he's trying to reach, especially involving black talent (he is an entire ho for what he did to OmGOATS). One thing Vince is known for is entertaining the masses. Like his main vision was to make compelling stories along with a twang of wrestling.

I was never a Attitude Era head at all, if anything I was more into weirdly the Punk/Bryne era, but fell out of it. Even if I had a choice between AE and Trips booking, I would take a shytty In Your House versus WM41 because I know I would at least be entertained by the fukkery. Here's my gripe about Trips, he's a boring fukking booker. Dude spends his entire lifetime cosplaying the territories, but never seeing the good of those territories. NXT under his wing was a slog and a half looking back at it, compared to Hicklebottom's vision.

Don't even get me started with his self glazing, which is another gripe of mines. Vince played a character most of the time, while Trips playing Paul. Big difference..

At the end of the day, I miss turning off brain cells concerning wrestling. I miss the days of my wife and I being on the edge of our seats trying to see the payoff between Wyatts and Shield.

I miss the time of the TSC being full of fukkery and fun, and not this cold ass Neckbeard shythole of affairs.

To be honest, my wrestling taste died when WCW and ECW died sadly. For years, I spent my entire time trying to find that feeling of youth. But unfortunately, it was never the case. I tried Puro, but its basically the same damn booking as the States. Tried the indies, but they are glorified pipelines for WWE and AEW picking. I tried TNA, but sadly they are basically a part of WWE's umbrella.

So I just settled for the grim reality that I held onto wrestling because of my late grandfather, he got me into that shyt when we watched Bash at the Beach 94. Maybe I just wish for those old times back, the nostalgia without the bullshyt in the backroom. The feeling of seeing Kofi winning the big one. Tez on Twitter saying God is Good. Feuds that feel organic, and a weird wrestling world where it's just us geeks, the freaks in the ring, and the carnies calling the fukkery.

I would give my left tree branch for the feeling of WM30 again. Being around like-minded wrestling fans that didn't tell me to kill myself and make snarks about my family. Just good times, but in 2025, with all this nonsense especially Trump's influence and monopoly being praised, maybe its safe to say that wrestling is not entertaining anymore....

TLDR: More of a WCW head, liked bits and pieces of the WWE, best moments was 2011-2017, Trips wants to be Dusty, but books like Ole, wrestling will never hit like the good ole days. I'm only in here to catch up on the news and fukkery, nothing more or less. I'm tired of Trips booking black talent like taboo, while Vince actually had a spot for them in his timeframe despite the dumb booking...
You just aren’t a wrestling fan at all, you haven’t been one in a while and that’s fine. I thoroughly enjoyed WM 30 but outside the DB moment and the streak ending I can’t tell you what else was on that card. I’m sure it was good but to me what they did last year was better. 2011-2017 was me hate watching and getting excited every time the shield or DB had a moment but that was few and far in between and Vince booking was afwull. He ain’t push black people either. They were forced to go with kofi and they mismanaged the hurt business horribly.

But to each their own. Appreciate the response

Maybe I wasn't but kept fooling myself into believing I was. I play the games but would never go to the shows. I may have had like a few action figures and a WCW ring, but beyond that it was just me slamming toys against each other. There were huge gaps during my time of watching versus taking breaks. Shoot, when the indies started to thrive, it still didn't register with the marsupial at all.

When CZW came around, I was like "this isn't ECW"
ROH was hard to come by unless you were bout that tape collecting life, and by the time it actually hit the air, the thrill was gone.
NJPW had me and somehow the gaijins and idiotic booking push me so far back
I held onto DDT until the wheels fell off and reality hits that they are not as fun to watch from the first time I watched it.

Even with AEW, I just can't shake how foolish the shyt looks, especially the overdone gymnastics.

2011-2017 most def I was with you involving "god this is awfffful" *keep watching*. We believe the feeling is going to come back, but sadly it is not in my case. Some heads are enjoying this era and props to them, but honestly I just wish there was a wrestler, tag team, faction, promotion...hell a booker that will finally give the marsupial what he desires and that's that ass kicking, unapologetic, meat slapping, a twang of storyline, mixed with kickpad steez.

Sadly, I'm honestly talking about MMA :mjlol:

I think wrestling fandom would be a much cooler space if people picked the stuff they liked and just indulged themselves in that..

Like oh, you’re a CZW fan? Cool, stay in that lil czw pocket and have fun with your ultra violent fukkery. You like AEW, cool, go over there with the AEW fans and enjoy ya graps. You like the mainstream WWE stuff? Go do ya thing with the WWE bots..

But it’s like, instead of that, wrestling fans are in a constant pissing contest where they’re trying to convince you that you shouldn’t like the thing you like instead of just focusing on the thing they themselves like. It’s mad annoying to be apart of it, makes the entire wrestling sphere unenjoyable

TNA was always bad, but it was never boring and always fun to shoot the shyt online about, plus you'd get kick ass Kurt Angle matches and to see people you grew up watching that fell out of the WWE system and only worked indies and shyt that you'd never see because this was pre-streaming and shyt.

AEW has the same feeling for me except it's boring sometimes, replace Kurt Angle with FTR/MJF/Swerve/etc and I feel the same way.

WWE really deserves it sometimes because my nostalgia wants it to be good but so often its just really fukking lame(been great lately). Same as AEW and TNA, it's just fun to shoot the shyt about it online whether I like it or not or have/have not been watching

No the fucck it wasn’t :rudy:
You're just remembering the good is all, for every Kurt vs Joe there's some absolute bs right behind it. I've watched old school TNA recently and had a good laugh at some the bs behind the really awesome shyt I remember

First TNA episode I ever watched ended on a cliffhanger with Jeff Hardy crouching over a ledge watching Abyss go crazy, I'll never forget that and you can't find a clip of that anywhere online. TNA was bad then too because even as a kid episodes ending on random cliffhangers with no pick up the next week made no sense to me, for all the good TNA was and did, are you really gonna sit here and act like it wasn't absolutely BS a lot of time?

The bullshyt is like an undisputed TNA fact

For sure, that TNA period is probably my favorite shyt in all of wrestling. It was still objectively fukkery a lot of the time. It was still bad a lot of the time of it's existence.

You're missing my point though, stop arguing little points lol, i'm just saying shooting the shyt about wrestling good or bad is always fun

You bring up some random ass episode which led to a Monster’s ball match but want to act like moments like these didn’t happen in TNA

Pick a TNA episode that there's no insane fake bs in and I'll admit im wrong, just name an episode of TNA TV, them shyts were only an hour long
