I'm Everywhere you ain't never there
You just aren’t a wrestling fan at all, you haven’t been one in a while and that’s fine. I thoroughly enjoyed WM 30 but outside the DB moment and the streak ending I can’t tell you what else was on that card. I’m sure it was good but to me what they did last year was better. 2011-2017 was me hate watching and getting excited every time the shield or DB had a moment but that was few and far in between and Vince booking was afwull. He ain’t push black people either. They were forced to go with kofi and they mismanaged the hurt business horribly.Since 94, I have been an on and off WWE fan, but preferred WCW (thus why I never cared for the fed despite some good moments like WM 30, and etc). Vince for all the shyt he got and how stupid his booking was, I feel like he was booking for everybody, while Trips is booking for his era and the chums up in TKO. I don't feel like I'm the core audience he's trying to reach, especially involving black talent (he is an entire ho for what he did to OmGOATS). One thing Vince is known for is entertaining the masses. Like his main vision was to make compelling stories along with a twang of wrestling.
I was never a Attitude Era head at all, if anything I was more into weirdly the Punk/Bryne era, but fell out of it. Even if I had a choice between AE and Trips booking, I would take a shytty In Your House versus WM41 because I know I would at least be entertained by the fukkery. Here's my gripe about Trips, he's a boring fukking booker. Dude spends his entire lifetime cosplaying the territories, but never seeing the good of those territories. NXT under his wing was a slog and a half looking back at it, compared to Hicklebottom's vision.
Don't even get me started with his self glazing, which is another gripe of mines. Vince played a character most of the time, while Trips playing Paul. Big difference..
At the end of the day, I miss turning off brain cells concerning wrestling. I miss the days of my wife and I being on the edge of our seats trying to see the payoff between Wyatts and Shield.
I miss the time of the TSC being full of fukkery and fun, and not this cold ass Neckbeard shythole of affairs.
To be honest, my wrestling taste died when WCW and ECW died sadly. For years, I spent my entire time trying to find that feeling of youth. But unfortunately, it was never the case. I tried Puro, but its basically the same damn booking as the States. Tried the indies, but they are glorified pipelines for WWE and AEW picking. I tried TNA, but sadly they are basically a part of WWE's umbrella.
So I just settled for the grim reality that I held onto wrestling because of my late grandfather, he got me into that shyt when we watched Bash at the Beach 94. Maybe I just wish for those old times back, the nostalgia without the bullshyt in the backroom. The feeling of seeing Kofi winning the big one. Tez on Twitter saying God is Good. Feuds that feel organic, and a weird wrestling world where it's just us geeks, the freaks in the ring, and the carnies calling the fukkery.
I would give my left tree branch for the feeling of WM30 again. Being around like-minded wrestling fans that didn't tell me to kill myself and make snarks about my family. Just good times, but in 2025, with all this nonsense especially Trump's influence and monopoly being praised, maybe its safe to say that wrestling is not entertaining anymore....
TLDR: More of a WCW head, liked bits and pieces of the WWE, best moments was 2011-2017, Trips wants to be Dusty, but books like Ole, wrestling will never hit like the good ole days. I'm only in here to catch up on the news and fukkery, nothing more or less. I'm tired of Trips booking black talent like taboo, while Vince actually had a spot for them in his timeframe despite the dumb booking...
But to each their own. Appreciate the response
