ATL - Cleveland Ave.
15 years is long for any player
look at the the 2003 draft

bron is the only one who is still an above average nba player at this point
hell bron, melo, wade, collison, pachulia, korver and david west are the only dudes still active from that draft class

father time remains undefeated unless your lebrn james
I think people always looked at Melo like this secret weapon that was just being kept in storage because he was with the trash ass Knicks. Like some soviet warhead. But then the war came and that nikka failed to launch.

father time is undefeated, especially when you don't take full care of yourself.

sucks he wasted his prime years in a failed organization like the knicks.

There was a time where Melo at the PF spot was a serious mismatch because he was quicker than all of them while having enough strength. That quickness ain't there anymore, and big men are either getting smaller and quicker also or those with true PF size are quicker. So as a 6'7/6'8" PF who isn't blowing past your matchup or getting the same lift on your jumpers what is your bread & butter?
zbo is still effective....

just makes you appreciate bron even more. some bron haters used to swear up and down melo was better than bron...reminds me of the same people who used to say deron williams was better than CP3. sooner or later we see what's real.

I was a junior in high school when Bron was a senior and melo was at Syracuse, so 15 years later watching their careers just makes me feel :flabbynsick:. Like these cats really approaching their swan songs.

But yea, i remember Lebron vs Melo was a big debate for ppl, esp in their rookie year. And so was CP3 vs Deron. I mean shyt, Deron's fall from grace with the Sloan controversy then basically getting exposed as soft and mentally weak in Brooklyn... it's easy to forget how highly regarded he was.

Lowkey, if Houston wins the title this year, the final narrative around Chris Paul is gonna be very interesting. His bball talent never wavered, even with injury and age, but he was getting knocked something serious for the intangibles [never making it to the wcf / choke jobs / over dribbling/etc] and even comparisons to Melo in that regard.
