Seriously Why Are Black People Muslim

Well, I don't know about other countries, but in Nigeria, Islam has hardly seemed to be a blessing. First of all, someone said Islam led to a golden age in West Africa, maybe so but the great Kingdoms in Southern Nigeria were founded on African religions and not Islam.
There was also a Jihad led by the Islamic scholar Uthman San Fodio that forced most of Nothern Nigeria to "reform" and was only stopped in the Southern city of Ibadan. It's also been one mess after the other since independence, the worst atrocities now being committed by Boko Haram.
So yes, I agree with op when he says that Africans need to start questioning whether these foreign religions do more evil than good.

Never understood the insistence of Black people to devoutly follow and parrot Abrahamic Religions. When their doctrines were introduced through Traders and Missionaries. From cultures of people that later colonized and mistreated their offspring contrary to the teachings of tHe gOOd boOK. I blame this on African's being spiritual and superstitious by nature. Out went the Nature Gods in came the current one. The most Christian and Islamic of places are intrinsically Anti-Black. The God you worship has allowed Africans to be tortured for as long as History remembers. I come from Christian roots but every day I question this intelligent design and creator who doesn't seem to care about us. I've never seen a miracle from God. Please don't come hear and say good health, no diseases as being examples. I mean someone praying for something to happen and getting that thing.

Funniest part is people who are in Islam think they've cracked some secret code to life and are incredibly arrogant and aggressive, if you point out the many holes in their book they'll literally just ignore them, its a watered down cheap fake DLC to the bible, mohammad is no different from Joseph Smith, i can understand muslims falling for it but for the life of me i dont see the appeal to it for a non-muslim
