Seriously, why is the Switch so rare to find?

What exactly is Nintendo's logic behind limiting the number of Switch consoles they shipped out? I already bought a copy of Breath of The Wild and that shyt is collecting dust because I can't buy the Switch anywhere.

And now I am hearing there is gonna be a scarcity of Switches until the end of the yr.

Nah man it's genius. Nike been doing this with sneakers for years. They've sold some trash Jordans, SB Dunks, etc. by creating a small stock of em.

Low supply=high demand. They've been doing this since the SNES. The only time Nintendo mass shipped a console was the Wii U and it not even half of those units got sold to this day.

I copped one at Gamestop yesterday. I had to call around a bunch and got lucky though got the 4th of 4 that got delivered.

You guys don't understand business. It's not artificial shortages, its releasing with conservative number to test the waters before ramping up production.

You think nintendo wouldn't have loved to get many more to buy a switch at launch? should they make 50 million of them available on day 1 and let dead stock sit across the world and potentially unsold?

This is exactly what happened with me. I wanted to buy one, nobody had em and now I lost interest

Probably wont even buy one now to be honest. its about to be summer, I already got a big backlog and by the time the fall hits there will be too many big new releases coming out on my ps4 for me to care about whats goin on with the switch
