I went off on the manager 1 to 1 and brought up the racism and legit told him that the dude ain’t safe off work grounds and I will catch him leaving the job.

They literally have HR training and policies on this. It's called retaliation.

I got into an argument with my manager and he reduced my hours from 40-50 a week to 15. fukking up my money that I needed cuz my mom got fired and I was paying the bills. And he wouldn’t fire me so I could get workers comp. I paid 3 of my boys 300$ each and they beat the shyt out of him after closing the store. and broke all his car windows and wind shield, and slashed all his tires to his 2016 Benz. I made them all say a specific phrase while they were whipping his ass. When he came back to work a week later. I whispered it in his ear and said if you don’t fix my shyt it’ll happen again. fakkit changed the schedule the next day. He eventually left to another store

That was the second time he told me to chill this morning. The way dude trains, I just tried to do what he said rather than deal with his feminine eye rolling, throwing his hands in the air and huffing all day. After a week of it, I just got into do what he says mode and not question it short of something dangerous.

With regard to the comment, he would’ve snaked me earlier if I had stepped to him. Besides that, I met someone at that site making $100/hr and he’s gonna plug me into his job after I take two classes this fall because he said the whole department is retiring in the next few years. Had I not played it cool, who knows if I would’ve met that man. I know when to get at someone. I wasn’t in a place where it benefitted me to react when that happened.

I started a new job last week driving a cement truck and it requires two weeks of training. I may have put on the application that I speak (understand) Spanish because I knew with anything construction related, that’s a good way to get your foot in the door.

The company set me up with a Mexican dude who was easily irritated from the jump. The dude didn’t do a walk around on the truck, show me the parts or explain much. He would just tell me what to do and then get frustrated when he had to show me what he was talking about.

The first week was rough, because in addition to listening to this guy bark commands, throw his hands up in frustration when I’d take a few seconds to figure out what he meant and try to tell me how to shift (stick shift truck), we got to a job site and him and this other Mexican working at that site said something about “pinche Moreno mayate”. Translation: fukking black ******.

I was shocked that they thought I wouldn’t catch that, but in light of a $40/hr job and me not really having to deal with this a$$hole after training, I ignored it.

Fast forward to today. We’re on the job site that he drove to and I’m riding shotgun. I’m eating my breakfast and when it’s time to jump out and set up, he says “relax, I got this one”. After he’s done, he comes back talking about the office called and wants to see me. The office NEVER calls our phones, they call the truck radio and I was in the truck. I asked what did they want and he replied he didn’t know.

When we get back to the plant I go into the office and the manager is irritated and asks what’s going on? I look at him confused and say with what? He says don’t play dumb! At this point I’m pissed and I shoot back with play dumb about what? What are you talking about? Then the manager starts going down the list of all the shyt this a$$hole said about me and ends with and you’re sitting in the truck while he does all the work. Bruh...

I said hell no this motherfukker told me to wait in the truck because I was going to do the next one. So he said go get him. I grabbed him and said what did you tell me and he fessed up, but when I left the office he tried to hang around and wait for me to close the door. So I walk back in and said fukk THIS. Say it in front of me and he walks out and goes to hide. At that point I told the manager to find me another trainer or I’m out. I ran down how the dude has been setting me up and the “pinche Moreno mayate” comment. Waiting to find out what’s gonna happen.

Cliffs:

He's playing dumb so you show him how much smarter you are then him, brother. You tell him exactly what that means in a calm, professional way. Drop mentions about a labor lawyer, and that "I just want to come here and do my job, I don't want any issues, but it's not right that I have to be subjected to racial discrimination"... You'll have them doing anything to keep you employed, happy, and not working with a fukking Mexican racist anymore.

NEVER let casual racist comments slide. Not saying confront but you should be DOCUMENTING everything and reporting to higher ups IMMEDIATELY. Documentation is key if you wanted to be paid out for having to work in a descriminatory workplace.

Start documenting EVERYTHING that occurs, especially in reference to racist comments by you direct supervisors.

I hit my breaking point today.

STOP TELLING you manager stuff and start WRITING DOWN. Email is best. Send him an email documenting your issues so its time stamped. Casual conversation is USELESS in the grand scheme of things.
