I'm assuming Lumon owns that town and parts of this world, so since cops ain't shyt in our world I'm guessing they ain't shyt in the Severance world and were in on it too.

Mark ID'ing the body is the confusing part, but I guess they could've just tranqed her.

I think they either just kidnapped her and staged it, or she was in on it but didn't really know what she signed up for until it was too late

body doubles perhaps. We've seen multiple examples of Lumon doin weird shyt like that. With the lookalikes on
the retreat pointing at shyt. With the employees that resemble Mark, Helly, Irv and Dylan watching them. The weird Kier "statues". I think that’s part of what Lumon does. We'll just have to see where this takes us.

It was theorized that when she was doing those little art postcards that Lumon was looking for someone that might have had the traits for Cold Harbor. Also, there's no reason to believe that Gemma was the only one. She just might be the only one that succeeded.

1. I feel like they spent so much time trying to be cinematographers that the show dragged on needlessly throughout the second season especially. It felt like they were trying to win an emmy instead of tell a story and I attempted to fast-forward past every winding hallway shot or 10 seconds between dialogue and response
2. Maybe I missed it, but as far as I remember, wasn't Helena taking over Helly G for the entire season? Was there some signal that she was Helly G when the father came to visit and for the rest of the episode?

You really shouldn’t have fast forwarded cause she was Helena only through episode 4. There was a huge confrontation about it and they switched back.

She was Helly R in episodes 5-10. There was no signal.
