You understand that innie Mark leaving meant suicide right?

He didn't want to kill himself, Helly, and Dylan. That makes all the sense in the world.

Would you die for the happiness of a stranger?

The issue with this is that is that Mark S. has been committing "suicide" 5 days a week for however long he been down there. He has never had a promise that outie Mark wouldnt quit that job and do something else yet every day he walked to that elevator not knowing if he would ever show up again.

He knows they have a mechanism for bringing him back outside of that Lumon office. So he has little reason to believe him walking up those steps would mean he would never awaken again. The one time he had a promise that they would bring him back is the one time he didnt want to leave, that makes no sense.

At this point what he does know is that not only are there people down in that office trying to kill him, they have a way to remotely terminate any of them at any time, and they can prevent him from leaving later if he does change his mind.

...which is exactly why he wants to spend more time with Helly. It was a desperate last act of a man who knows they can snap him out of existence.

Of all the shyt that didn't make sense to me this episode....innie Mark choosing Helly made total sense.

Not even. That's what the whole "resignation" process is for. All he's doing is clocking out knowing he'll be back to work. That's a huge difference compared to knowing 100% that he'll die.

No he doesn’t. Go back and watch the scene again.

He asked him what reintegration is and what it means and OutieMark fumbles the answer cause he doesn’t have it. He has no idea what happens in reintegration. Cause it doesn’t matter to him.

Go back further to episode three when Reghabi tells him reintegration is the only way. She says something to the effect “ I can see a version of you that loves Gemma, and” he cuts her off cause that’s all he cares about. Nothing about this new version mattered except Gemma.

The conversation spiraled out from there betraying the outies truly careless nature.

ok so did some thinking. :mjlol:
These “innies“ need to get over themselves. They aren’t separate people. There is no inne mark outtie mark. It’s just Mark. He was a dumbass and got a little chip in his head to block out his personal life at work but that doesn’t make you 2 people. “Innie Mark” just needs to realize this and get over it. Do your work and clock out go home. If they are so worried about who they are they all pretty much know by now who they are who they were married to their families etc. So now just act accordingly.
just because you have a crush on a halfway decent looking redhead at work don’t make you a different person:stopitslime:

You ain’t never find yourself looking at the redhead at work?

I know my take is not popular and gonna get hate but something was bugging me about this season and I think that’s it

Can someone explain to me the point of the little girl?
Character wise it lets you see how young Lumon indoctrination starts and sets up the Cobel reveal without spending 15 minutes in flashbacks.

Story wise is is Lumon world building around how their schools work and company recruiting new management from within.
