They've also made talent take paycuts during the pandemic and no talent was immune was from it. The money just isn't flowing like that right now for sports media talent unless you're a select group of people.

You can’t fathom it because you’ve never had it.

It also needs to be taken into account that while a lot of these dudes grew up in poverty none of them were ever poor as adults, since they were millionaires in their late teens or early twenties. The calculus is different.

sharpe grew up poor in a part of georgia that will have you thinking you stepped out of a time machine. I think he knows enough about the struggle to never go back to it
