Something tells me Duncan wouldn't have won with McGrady in Orlando :yeshrug:

System player :yeshrug:

More athletic doesn't automatically mean better. CWebb played on more stacked teams than Duncan and still didn't win anything.

Also, as far as "systems" Timmy had to pretty much change positions upon coming to the Spurs. He was a center in college, and had to move over because of David Robinson. He ended up playing PF even after Robinson's exit from the lineup. So basically, Duncan played out of position for most of his career and still dominated and won several chips.

Chris Webber did NOTHING better than TD

Anyone that ever watched both of them knows this

Durant said Kawhi was a system player in Pops system as well, and we know how that turned out

CWebb was a better ball handler and passer.

Dallas by way of Houston by way of San Antonio
shyt don't feel right when we can't throw Kobe slander into a thread like this :mjcry: And don't let the title fool you...every thread @Sccit makes is about Kobe somehow some way :russ:

But if y'all going to make system arguments against DunGawd, I need that proof showing what Kobe won outside of the triangle. :sas2:

Webber was nice, but he wasn't Duncan.

he wasn’t even an all star that year. Either way he wasn’t a dominate superstar at that time neither. Pops system put TD in great position for his later years.
So what? He was an All-Star and All-NBA a year later and was one the year before. :dead:

15/10/3 while being an All-NBA defender playing 29 minutes on one of the deepest and best ball movement squads ever. That’s not a role player.

He wasn’t a dominant superstar but he was still sonning bigs 10 years plus younger than him in the playoffs like Ibaka, Bosh, Griffin. He was a bucket in the low post and from 15 feet. U could still play through him when you needed a clutch bucket and he could still pass. Duncan was still one of the best bigs in the league based off his stats and accolades in that time period, that’s facts.

Few questions for whoever wants to answer:

1. Why we focusing on 2014, like Duncan doesn't have 4 other chips?
2. Why are we acting like Duncan wasn't 2nd on the team in scoring in 14, as nobody was scoring 20 ppg because they were super balanced?
3. Why did the Spurs and this great system go from 4 chips in Duncan's first 10 years with less talent to 1 chip in his last 9 with clearly superior talent? This fall off had nothing to do with Duncan going from being all time, top 5 dead or alive great to just plain old great or anything right?
4. Why has this "system" plus the likes of Derozan and Aldridge been moving further and further away from contention these last couple years?

Yeah it’s all about that pop system. How was Pops Magical system looking this year with marginal talent?

The Spurs dynasty was because of DUNCAN

How was Pops system looking in 2017 after TD left?

duncan was much better than Kawhi that year
The spurs didn’t turn to Kawhi down the stretch they turned to Duncan
Kawhi wasn’t the defensive anchor it was Duncan saying otherwise is simply a lie

IS THAT WHY KAWHI WON FINALS MVP?
