Westbrook is definitely the alpha dog. Durant should be traded to a team like Houston. Westbrook should be the undisputed leader of that OKC team.

Team has no big man to post up and get easy points. Plus Westbrook the only one who can consistently create his own shot and shots for others. He is the alpaha dog of that team. The team only goes as far as Westbrook goes. And that is no shade a Durant.

This issue is Durant needs to step up. Westbrook being "the alpha dog" is a serious problem because Westbrook isn't taking them that far. He's vital to the team but if he's "the alpha dog" they'll never win a chip. Never.

Until Kevin Durant tells face-to-face that he needs to step back, then there is no point of even having this conversation. Everybody knows Durant is the better player. Everybody knows that the team should go through Durant.
But Westbrook may very well be the team's heart and soul (similar to how Derrick Rose is Chicago's best player, but is their heartbeat). Anyway, when Kevin Durant is as big a cheerleader for Russell Westbrook as Brandon Marshall is for Jay Cutler, then that's not happening. That's just not who Durant is. Anyone who saw Durant's MVP speech knows that as far as KD is concerned, Russ is irreplaceable.

In other news, yeah, Westbrook can throw off the flow of the game from time to time, but ever since Harden left, OKC plays games 2-on-5, or 3-on-5 if Ibaka has his offense going. That's on Scott Brooks. That dude pretty much tells Durant and Westbrook to do whatever they think is best. Two/three-man street ball or half-court offense/whatever will not beat the San Antonio's of the world when it matters most.

Its a TEAM sport, Shaq is saying they need to distribute the ball more. If the TEAM is involved, they become harder to stop as a whole. Russ job is to create that balance, not become a black hole
He's so good that this very real fact gets overlooked. Good enough to win a decent amount of games during the regular season
But if they want to win a CHAMPIONSHIP then this is what needs to be changed in his game.
