You said yourself it depends on situation. When you have a rookie QB he's going to get all the 1st team reps. That's simply a fact and you guys can cry about it all you want, or cast conspiracies that make no sense. If you want to say Sanders was in a bad position I agree. But it's not because of some hatred of him via the coaching staff that WILLINGLY drafted him.
Explain how Gabriel got reps even as QB3? Shaduer is a rookie too. And once your vet flacco was traded they only had 2 active QB's. both are rookies. So you have to prepare a just in case scenario and at least give him some limited reps. Thats what a smart coach and team would do. The browns current record reflects their decision making.
And the coach didnt draft him. The GM drafted Shaduer. KS didnt want him and made that clear. Dillon was always his guy.
some folks are interested in creating in narrative than analyzing actual football but I didnt expect anything else out of such a polarizing player
