If Pelinka was aware of the cap situation and delayed finalizing the trade until the end of July they would've saved 10 million in a cap money and the possibility of signing a 3rd max player. Now they have to find ways to dump more players on an already depleted roster.

Do people actually think there's only one person here doing all of the legwork inside the front offices of a professional sports franchise?? .... Like polinka is really sitting there with a roster list and a calculator crunching salary cap numbers by himself making moves?? 
That is what you would have to believe the scenario to be if you actually take this kind of reporting serious.... These front offices have plenty of staff that are in place specifaclly for situations like this...they have capologist to hendle the numbers...assistants to facilitate dialog...pr reps for messaging... Business lawyers for CBA rules etc etc... You think the Lakers don't know how salary works? This is what people actually believe??
