I am going to say that I believe Mr. Sherman is not only wrong, but that he is wrong minded. It seems to me that the NFL and just about ALL other sports are the ones that have evolved if compared to hockey and its rules. Other sports have moved forward in thinking and in action and no longer condone fist fights (IF they ever did). It has nothing to do with race, but IF it does, then the sports that are predominantly black have moved the farthest forward haven't they? How then does that have anything to do with racism or better stated, bigotry?. The only race argument I can see would have to do with hockey being years behind. Is that because the sport is predominantly white? If yes, who then has taken the higher road??

Sherman the clown loves the publicity he has gotten since his Super Bowl rant. He will continue to say things in the press to incite anger and hatred as long as people keep paying attention.

I for one am growing tired of seeing every one of these athletes talk of racial bias or inequality in sports. Try living like a regular human for a while and struggle to pay bills and raise a family. Sports players are paid way too much for what they do and given way too many breaks when they do something stupid in public such as fighting at a club, etc. Try just going through life looking for some good in others and stop looking to race as a reason for your shortcomings.

Ridiculous.... fighting arises in hockey because it is part of the game... an "enforcer" comes in, or there is a one-on-one hard check and the sticks are dropped and the gloves come off... there are rules to it. To an extent, there are rules in baseball as to when a batter can charge the mound after a brush-back, etc. or when benches can clear. "Fighting" in those sports is used as a tactic. It is different in football; there is not a flow to the game... there is 4 seconds of clash and then disengagement... if a CB blindsided a WR after a play as each was returning to the huddle, you don't think the sidelines would clear? It is simply not part of the game.... and it has nothing to do with race....

I love Sherman, but he needs to stop with the 'race card' allegation.
