Here is my take... Date people you would consider marrying or having kids with. Don’t waste time with people that you would refuse to take home.

Since everyone values different things. High value differs.

For myself, I knew I wanted a super ambitious guy, fiscally responsible, Christian, not a player. I went to places that had lots of people fitting my criteria (business school - where black men far out number Black women). At the same time I had my shyt together. I went to the top business with the goal of finding a husband (and graduating of course). Almost all of the black women married black men (including myself). The Common thread is both the women and men were on the same socioeconomic level.

Op, do you even have a man? If so, why are worried about other relationships and not yours?

These dudes don't know what high value men are. They degrade women and say a womans only value is in her looks and sexuality, but then get mad for women for going with the highest "bidder".

And those dudes are fools, tell me who has made them feel entitled when the world has NEVER operated in that manner

On a deeper level, I think a lot of this hvm nonsense is extremely damaging to the black community. All the emphasis being placed on material things with little to no focus on character building makes it hard to distinguish between the flashy cfo of a tech company and a drug dealer driving a flashy whip.

Character needs to be the primary focus and everything else will fall into place.

That’s all well and good but it’s not really how women tend to think. We’re being realistic here and keeping things practical

Black women should date whoever they see fit to date same for black men. its not my business what a random stranger who I don't know gender regardless, chooses to sleep with or have a relationship.

You quoted me just when I was about to delete my post. I'm not trying to antagonize anyone here.

I have also have ZERO problem attracting men "high value" or not (which is neither here nor there).
This literally means nothing. Why do women brag about this? The girl working at Taco Bell gets approached. Ugly fat women get approached. Most of y’all are concubines

Can you keep/have a HVM marry you is a bigger question .

Base off the title of the thread

Should Black women only date HVM

So say HVM is a guy making over 100k a year which is only 10% and if they want only a black man then it’s down to around 2 to 3% , then black women is fukked.. which they are in reality ….u dont see any other race of men dying to get a black woman to seriously date and pursue for marriage..

The main problem with black women and some black men both DONT LIVE IN REALITY WHEN IT COMES TO DATING/MARRIAGE

Regular guys should not be on our radar?

Cause that's what it sounds like yall be pushing around here.

"choose better".

Water finds its own level. If you're extremely attractive, educated and gainfully employed...date the same kind of man.

If you're average looking, educated and gainfully employed....date THAT kind of man.

Basically, if you're a sista that feels you're elite/top shelf AND wants to date men on that level....do that. HOWEVER, that also means you're dealing with a VERY in-demand group of men. You have to catch them early. Don't wait until 30 to start looking. Sometimes you gotta project what you think a man will be in 10 years. Waiting for the finished product means you've waited too long.
